It's been nearly a year since I've posted anything. And with my usual procrastinating buddies coming back and saying things (hello Taizen, Charlo, and colseed), I felt more than a little obligated. My break was for the same reason as Charlo's – people here seemed to stop being interested in game design so I had no reason to post anything here because that's all I do with my time.
So, I went to California this past weekend to see a certain someone. It was a fantastic change of scenery, even though I spent most of my time outside LA. I got to see the ocean and sea lions and chickens (pigeons) and eat oysters and get sand in my hair and get lost in the confusing as fuck city grid system and get honked at by hundreds of angry LA drivers!I didn't take a single picture!Except of maybe one chicken (pigeon) that was throwing some grass around like a fucking moron.I also got to walk around a castle so that was pretty fun too.And I finally got around to watching Breaking Bad.So I'm back home now and tired as fuck but a break from game playing and game making has been quite refreshing and now I'm pretty stoked to get back to work. I haven't done much since I got back (except sleep) but here's some stuff I did over the past few months that you might enjoy. Tell me if there's something here that you like and/or think I should finish, because I have a lot of works in progress. Some screenshots:Terminys - Unity Port Combat TestPraecantrix - Some Spellcrafting (pardon the dust, still working on the interface)

I didn't take any of them, which was what I said in the blog. Therefore I am not lying.
Also, my hotel was in Newport/Costa Mesa, so that was the beach I visited most, though I did also see Corona del Mar, which was nicer but had awful parking. Didn't see any of the other areas you mentioned, but I did check out Fashion Island (holy shit) and ate both there and in Newport/Costa Mesa. You should have told me you were coming. I could have gotten the state to throw a welcome party for you!
Where is the onion eating that was promised?
I ate it in the title.
Yeah, you should have told some of us Californians you were coming, we could have arranged some kind of welcome. Let us know next time, gosh.
Well I did tell someone. Maybe I'll visit Ferret next.
Oh look
