I'm bad at writing blog introductions, so I'll just skip this one.
For the last few months I've been not playing that much TF2. That's because the time I spent playing TF2 is now spent making maps for TF2. It's a lot of fun, and quite challenging to design for! I know we have a few TF2 players out there, so here's a screenshot of my favorite map of mine, koth_quarry:The map originally started out as part of a 72 hour map-making contest. At the end of it all, it ended up winning 1st place! It was then updated and further refined into the current version, which is part of another contest run by the same people.I've also been writing music. I'm writing the soundtrack to a Portal 2 mod, which is kinda interesting. I've never really worked with other people on long-term projects like this before. Sometimes I wonder if I need to be working more on the soundtrack, and/or if the other guy should be working more on the maps. Either way, I'll have some music at the end of it all, so I guess that's good!On a final note: buy this album. Modern day Frank Zappa + chiptunes, what could possibly go wrong?
That album… I must buy it… I'm interested that the guy made the chiptune in Famitracker. Some interesting effects he managed…
Woo! Congrats on the 1st place!
Map looks like a Valve-made one. It's hard to judge from one screenshot, but it looks like there's a bit more close-quarters combat than other maps generally have. Pretty cool, I'd check it out if I gave even a little bit of a piece of a shit about TF2.
In other news, I'm following you on soundcloud now.
