Regions is indeed now a real thing you can purchase with real, actual money! It's been about a year since the completition started, and since then, it's been a long journey. However, I can proudly say that I have now released my first ever commercial game.
This is really exciting and kinda scary too!If you're not familiar with the game, Regions is a geometric puzzle game about drawing paths. This video can probably explain it better than I can: It's only on Desura right now, but I've got plans to do stuff with Humble, Steam Greenlight, and the Google Play/iOS App stores. If you're not sure if you want to drop the $5, check out the demo! It's got the first 60 levels, and will definitely tell you whether or not you'll enjoy the full game.
fucken shweeet
Congrats on publishing a commercial game. The one thing keeping me from considering doing that myself is that there's likely a bunch of legal bullshit you have to deal with, and I'm lazy.
There's surprisingly little legal bullshit, as long as you don't make a lot of money. Once you start making a taxable income, that's when things get fun.
I can see this getting super popular if it gets a mobile release
Congratulations!
How much trouble was getting your game onto Desura? Pretty straightforward?intermission 22 has me stumped
Desura is fairly easy to get onto. You just upload some images and a video, and someone from Desura will look them over to make sure the game meets some level of professionalism. After that, it's all yours.
