[DSG] NOW HIRING

Yea, hey listen. This game has just too much damn potential to be the responsibility of just one individual. So…

I'm hoping to round up a team of crack game developers and artists. ALL I REALLY NEED is someone to write the story [the entire story/gameplay of the game] I mean I need a writer who can come up with new ideas for what the character will be doing in the game, where he goes, how the game starts, the goal of the game, the ending, all that good stuff, MAKE IT EPIC. I'm really getting far from the metroidness when it comes to story. Gameplay wise, its VERY metroidy; however I've been trying to come up with a more prince of persia/zelda style story. I also WANT to find someone who can make better ambiance music than I, a fresh mind with a unique approach and unique skills, as well as the resources to create something SERIOUSLY professional.

This game is going to be PROFESSIONAL. ENTIRELY, FULLY, PROFESSIONAL. Anyone up to the task of being part of my project?

ALSO. I do love the hud in this game how it's all huge and moving and all that, but it simply gets in the way of the visuals half the time. I love it but it must be replaced with something… oh, I don't know… PRACTICAL.

Anyway, other news. Cyan is the new orange. I reverted back to the original color concepts, and actually recolored the backgrounds, and turned down the brightness of and desaturated the ruins tileset. FURTHERMORE, my new banner is infact an enlarged and slightly photoshopped screenshot, so… there's what the game looks like now.

But… yea. NEEDING writers and creative visionaries for full involvement. OR, just shoot me a concept in a comment, READY, SET, GO.

I can probably write for ya. you need an entire storyline, or need me to elaborate on a framework you already have in mind?

Why is being 'professional' a good thing, now? Most 'professional' games out there today suck. Stick with the indie title, it has more credibility.

I thought you already finished the story…

The only thing I'd be able to do is study the controls and make them work correctly or at least give you a few concepts of controls that people generally like.

I can do some writing and also help out with programming (where needed).

But you arn't a professional, neither will your writer be.

I'm good at making stories with plot twists and interesting character development, but everyone is going to say they can write, and I don't have any specific traits that stand out.

Maybe you can switch to orange when it's not raining… Looks nice either way.

Yet this game will be made in Game Maker. =|

Obviously it's entirely impossible to make a quality game in Game Maker.
