ok. basically, depths is on my handy dandy flash drive. and now, the flash drive RANDOMLY isnt being recognised by any computer i own. FUCK. THIS. SHIT. ill probly have to send my usb to someone who can extract the data off of it. ill keep you folks updated.
[EDIT:]No progress. Maybe I'll just start over. Again. loljkidkfuck.[EDIT:]OH well, Guess I'll start from 2 months ago. I have to re-program in the ledges…. fuck.OH, but today, I decided to re-pixel the protagonist. FINALLY Stopped being lazy. He is no longer all black and no longer blends into doors and dark backgrounds. I had to resprite every single animation of him running, climbing, jumping, turning, standing, crouching, etc. In-game, the suit looks much more… suit like. It's got lights and its shiny and looks like armor not just spandex hahaAnd, I was thinking, it'd only make sense to give him a kind of breathing apparatus. I mean, he is on an alien world.[EDIT:]Trying to get as much that I lost back as possible. Luckily, I had a copy of the most recent version of the tile set for this area. Check out his new suit, really does a lot, doesn't it?Depths as of TODAY:
I only back up my games when I go on vacations, but every time I do major work I end up sharing the exe with someone so I could probably just decompile. Ever since kamira broke one of my flash drives by tossing it across the room, I haven't trusted them for anything important.
Evidently PY feels very strongly about this.
I work from a flash drive because I work on about three different computers. But I'm a backup whore and usually have something to fall back on in the tragic event that my flash drive crashes (which hopefully it shouldn't because this damn thing is brand new).Make a habit of backing up once a week at least, and if you do a lot of work in a day, back up again. At least now you know how unreliable flash drives are.PY is evidently as angry about this as DSG is.
He doesn't like other people to make mistakes. What a thoughtful guy.
No, there's just no excuse for it.
Now that I think about, is there some way to make it so that flash drives are automatically backed up everytime you plug them in? That would make them so much better.
My heart is broken.
wait, so you don't have at least 89 back ups? D: what where you thinking! D::D:
