ok. basically, depths is on my handy dandy flash drive. and now, the flash drive RANDOMLY isnt being recognised by any computer i own. FUCK. THIS. SHIT. ill probly have to send my usb to someone who can extract the data off of it. ill keep you folks updated.

I have to re-program in the ledges…. fuck.OH, but today, I decided to re-pixel the protagonist. FINALLY Stopped being lazy. He is no longer all black and no longer blends into doors and dark backgrounds. I had to resprite every single animation of him running, climbing, jumping, turning, standing, crouching, etc. In-game, the suit looks much more… suit like. It's got lights and its shiny and looks like armor not just spandex haha
And, I was thinking, it'd only make sense to give him a kind of breathing apparatus. I mean, he is on an alien world.[EDIT:]Trying to get as much that I lost back as possible. All I can say is… Meh.
The lack of backups on such a big project he's advertised constantly is what got me. Working off of a USB stick I can forgive, but not backing up such a fragile medium? Unforgivable. That and I've had a pretty crappy day, but mostly the backups.

Well, I have a back up but its 2 months old. I guess I should back up more often.
I'll search my tape backup and stuff for any depths-related .exe, perhaps the ones GM saves are still on my computer, but I think they save to the same directory as the .gmk, which is on my flash drive
Are you absolutely positive that you can't retrieve shit from whatever's left of your USB?
I'm sort of glad I learned the valuable lesson about backing stuff up already after a minor incident (now I periodically e-mail my game to myself).Oh, and update the FB fan page. It still claims Depths will be out in 2011 (as opposed to in an alternative reality in which you backup your stuff).Don't forget to back up your backup's backups. >:O

How do I do that, Flashback? It's on a usb drive and the computer doesn't interact with it. It has a blue light that always comes on and It won't do that any longer. My computer has no access to the flash drive
