Hatred of WoW and my Roommate's Strangeness

I have developed a hatred of anyone playing World of Warcraft. I don't know what it is that consumes them so, but I can't understand what compels what would otherwise be possibly normal people to spend their entire lives playing that game.

Most of this is directly related to my roommate, who by chance plays WoW. He wakes up early in the morning to play, and due to the fact that he uses voicechat, he wakes me up too. He has this droning piercing voice that goes through two pillows and a blanket - its louder than my alarm clock, and twice as annoying because you can be almost asleep and then *wham* BLAH BLAH BLAH. What is more annoying is the fact that even if you ask him to be quiet he says 'Okay' and keeps blithering on to his WoW buddies about random things. I don't know about you, but when you stay up late working on things, you don't like to be woken up any earlier than you need to be.

This is the life of my roommate - it can be divided into 4 things.

Sleeping - this is a random event and he is the only person that I've ever met that has a stranger sleep schedule than me - at least I am consistent in my 'sleep all day, be up all night' thing. He sleeps 4 hours, is awake 6, sleeps 2 hours, wakes up for 5 more, etc…

Reading manga - in the random unpredictable times that he is awake, he sometimes reads manga. This in itself is fine, but he reads it non-stop on his computer, and then randomly stops and falls asleep again.

Going to class - he only does this because he is in fact in college and attending class is in fact required to graduate.

Playing WoW - see above. When he isn't reading manga, attending class, or asleep, he plays WoW.

Things I have never seen him do: eat, do homework, shower, laundry.

I knew this guy who I used to work with that was addicted to WoW. He introduced me to it. I thought it was OK, but I really don't see how adult people with responsibilities can play a game for 5+ hours a day.

He would "work" while talking to me and fellow workmates about his "life" at home playing that "fun" game. When payday came around, we would all get our checks, save them or do something else fairly wise with them, but he would spend most of his (Let's say, 3/4) on new PC hardware to "enhance his online experience."

It's a very strange thing, if you ask me.

Hmmm… There's a guy with a roomate that made a blog about how much he hates him.

Is that you?

While he's sleeping at some random time, remove his audio hardware. After that, you can be happy to just feel some solitude with a quiet roommate

Or EMP him next time he's on WoW being that loud.

@Flea: The only game I ever played for 5+ hours recently was SSBB, but that was on the release date and I had nothing better to do.

Ok, here what you need to do:

STEP 1 - Tell roommate that you need to see a doctor about your flatulence problem.

STEP 2 - Go shopping and buy some beans

STEP 3 - Seal all windows in room (so they cant open)

I played SSBB for 32+ hours at my friend's house. I've never played WoW, nor do I intend to. I hate MMO's in general, actually.

Perhaps he can tell by the bad smell.

No - I can tell by the fact that a) he has no towel, no shampoo, no soap, or anything, and the only time the shower is wet is after I take a shower.

Another thing to add to the list - he doesn't have a toothbrush or toothpaste.
