I made yummy garlic butter noodles for dinner/late-nite snack. They were delicious.
So, I've successfully wrapped libgdx around my game engine. Basically, I just grab my input/display from their library instead of directly from a GLSurfaceView. Easy as pie. So What does this mean? It means that now making a desktop version will be trivially easy. So you non-phone guys can have fun too - I just have to set it up to allow for keyboard control instead of accelerometer.Expect something tomorrow! Pretty much all I have left to do is to finish the third boss type, and then its BETATESTING and level design. Woo!People with android phones that will be testing:*Myself (derp) - Epic 4g*BenDodge - myTouch 3g*Dave (my flatmate) - one of the relatively recent Droid phones*My brother - Evo 4g*Anybody else with an android phone?
I have a friend with a Evo, but I, sadly, don't have one.
Awesome!
I gotta get a Android!*Chucks iPhone in the trash*Ha, now I have an excuse!I haven't had a phone since 2006. >_>
I've had a crappy prepaid emergency phone for years which I never use.
Get high-pressure job. Then you can have a nice stipend for your expensive smartphone and be reachable 24/7! In IT at least, bosses love smartphones.
Can I test using an emulator?
@Mush - the android emulator A) is abysmally slow B) doesn't support accelerometer. I get a whopping 1-2 fps on the emulator at the main menu, compared to the steady 60 I get on my real device, even during the most graphically-intense parts of the game.
So unless you have a supercomputer you might as well test on the desktop port.Sorry :/@DF
Ditto.
