I went from being unemployed, to being employed! I now work at a small company that does iPhone games and applications. Woo! Better yet, it's work from home, and I get co-op credit for it (co-op is sort of like a paid internship). Normally, such a job would be something to be highly skeptical about (a lot of work-from-home things are scams) but this came about because of a personal recommendation of them to me, and me to them, by my professor. So I got a job. For now, I'm borrowing my friend's Macbook while he's off at his job until I earn enough to buy my own. It is interesting getting back into iPhone programming. But yes, employment! I get to set my own hours! I'll never be late! I can show up to work in my pajamas because when I wake up, I'm already there! Hooray!
Also, I'm almost at 70k hits! Daaaaayummmmm!I moved into my new apartment this last week. I only have one other person sharing a 4-person unit, so that means I have my own bathroom. Totally sweet. Much better than sleeping on a futon as I had been for the 3 months previous.Lolwut? Firefox 5.0 only a few months after 4.0? It took 3 years to get from 3.0 to 4.0! Because of this, I'm expecting 6.0 in a few days at most!Anyone who doesn't have Dropbox yet, click here to get it using my referral so I can get more storage space. Help a fox out, will yah? KthxbaiAlso, I saw this when I searched for WiiU on youtube. Looks like somebody had the same idea as I did in this blog
I thought you got a $70k salary. Working from home is good too.
Well hot damn! Congrats! :D
Also it seems that you've already passed the 70k mark :PEverybody I have ever known or heard about (apart from one or two people) has got their job through other people and contacts. I'm starting to think the idea of fooling strangers into sending out curricula vitae to potential employers is a scam.
congrads there!
@Cesque
Oddly enough, it's the opposite for me.If you were a Brit, "I get co-op credit from my job" would probably mean you'd failed in life.
nice. Id like to get an internship job :( im still looking though
@Mush I wish. But this is a co-op (cooperative education) so we get paid a bit less than entry level programming. When I graduate and look for a permanent job I'll get paid more.
@Toast but here it means win!@Alert what is your field?Computer science. specifically im going down the business software route.
