Well, I tried MadTracker. And I am so, so, so pissed that I did. Let's just face it: I had less trouble learning the Gimp than even making a simple monotonous kick line. You know, dunk dunk dunk.
*Interface: I screamed "holy shit" at my screen. It's really really that bad. It's bland, ugly, and anything but usable. You immediatley see the effects options, buttons for God-knows-whatever , sample screen, and oh damnit. Lets just do a freaking ModPlug Tracker 1.16 VS MadTracker 2.wtfcares:http://64digits.com/users/E-Magination/mptowns.pngI got it the first time I saw it.http://www.madtracker.org/img/ss_main1.gifYou go tell me how it works. Yes the screenshot is not by me because I got frustrated and dumped everything with MadTracker on my PC. It doesn't even have a uninstaller.Mastering MadTracker is like solving a 1024x768 rubiks not-so cube.
Yeah. But I want music, not a puzzle.
Try Skale Tracker:
http://www.skale.org/The interface is soo much better, and it's a little easier to figure out.Thats how madtracker works, you fill in 1.) which note, 2.) which instrument, and then anything else in that friggin box! I hate making mod music lol, its hard, and I agree that madtracker sucks.
Tracking isn't hard, figuring out why your songs suck is. The secret is that everything is about 8s, 16s and 32s.
