Inspiration

Interesting and unique game ideas are hard to come by.

Most of the time they are something familiar with a twist.

Some of the funnest games are not like this.

I played this

game just now. Since bbcode isn't working right now, here is the link:

http://www.addictinggames.com/tmc.html

It's fun. Not much to do, but it's fun, simple, and unique. It's a quick game to beat, but it's one you would play through because it's new and interesting. Looking for inspiration from other games with new ideas is a good thing.

I'm making a clone of an old school game right now and I'm also making a point and click game. Both of these are heavily covered game genres. Too heavily covered. I'm going to take a break from

game making when I finish these to find something that hasn't been done before. These are the kinds of games I like most. Especially if they are polished and neat.

On a side note, I noticed lot's of people talking about ClassixArcade, a new member. I'll admit he gets on my nerves sometimes too, but I think he's just adjusting. It's hard to fit in

to with one of the best game maker communities :D

But seriously. a word of advice Classix, don't make like 15 posts in one blog. If I'm correct, you got your post count up to 100 in about 2 days. Come on! Who does that?

It's become tradition for me (and most of 64d) to post some questions at the end of a blog. Also, about my banner…

It's temporary. And it's probably annoying, I know. I hope it melts your eyeballs. I can shoot acid out of my eyes.

1. How many languages do you speak?

2. Are you learning one?

3. What was the biggest number of games you worked on at one time.

Yeah, not many questions.

Good morning/afternoon/evening/night to you all.

That game is just a chain-reaction game, I don't find it overly unique.

luda: It's more unique than most of the games you see nowadays on the frontpage. And it's not a paragon example, it's just an example.
