I'm leaving Earth. Hopefully they have internet on Mars.

I just had one of those great ideas, a plan for a device that will (would) be an almighty tool in school&exam cheating. The idea is to use UV lamp and a pen that writes with invisible ink, made of raw potatoes that contain farinaceous. The UV light itself is invisible, and even when the lamp (shaped like the pen) is pointed towards the ink, it's invisible. What's the key? A filter. A thin, plastic filter (that is usually white, like on neon bulbs, but I read it can be transparent) that can be "glued" to glasses. This would allow you to see the ink, without anyone knowing. The only way to reveal the ink (when it dries) is to expose it to 250 degrees (Celsius), but I doubt that teacher would roast your table.

Then my little sister told me "you can buy one of those in China town"… Man, was I pissed off! Why is it, that anything I come up with is already invented by China, Tesla, Darwin, NASA, or Sony ???

That's why I decided to move to Mars. Hopefully they have internet there… If I find any life forms, I can spread my inventions, without worrying about copyright, cause thise lifeforms are probably single-cell organisams.

Okay, I'm on mars now. I seem to have a good connection here, so it's all good. In case you wondered how do Mars citizens look, I made a pic, with my special space camera.

So, a white filter on the neon light removes no frequencies, as white light is actually a mix of all frequencies. Meaning that neon light itself HAS all the frequencies, because you said the filter can only remove frequencies. But if neon light has all frequencies, than what do you need a filter for? Except if you want to remove UV.

Neon lights are called neon, because they contain neon gas. Those with argon are different ones. I know how they're called in my language, but I dunno how to translate.

No. You can have light made up of red, orange, and violet frequencies, and you want to remove the violet, so you filter out the violet, and are left with red and orange. You never had colors like green, or blue - they were never there in the first place.

Its like a pile of M&M's - just because you filter out all of the blue M&M's, it doesn't mean you had every color before you did - perhaps you only had blue and yellow, or blue and red.

Err yeah, lol. I couldn't think of the general name for those types of lights. Florescent lights perhaps?

Ah! Florescent lights! Yes, those produce white light. Neon lights DO sometimes have color filters, and often neon lights are really florescent lights with color filters, too.

I don't live on Earth anymore, and I can honestly say that it was a good move. The few of us on Pluto, however, are disappointed that our home's status was changed from 'planet' to 'dwarf planet'.

@Polystyrene Man : Yes, a tragedy indeed. Well, you can always move to mars!

Well, that would be a good idea for cheating purposes, but if you study and are a hard worker, who would need it? Plus, it would give a healthy sould a bad consciense until they fix the problem by turning themselves in, failing the final, and failing the class. So, in the end, you have to take the course a second time.

Hehm cranegames, here in Serbia it's not all so well organised. There is no final exam to pass the 1. 2. and 3. grade. Only for the fourth, and only for professional subjects (Basics of electrotechnics, Physics, Electronics) The rest is there only to ruin your life. So cheating in eg. history or literature ain't that bad at all!

It's a possibility, but it might be a bit of a culture shock as well.
