I decided I'm gonna start putting my blogs on the front page again. I mean, those Gigapixel n00bs are the only ones who comment on my blogs when they aren't on it, so…
I am waiting for V3, like everyone. I really need an ignore user function, so that those Gigapixel people and Boss stop bothering me.I have an idea for a website. I am currently looking into hosting. I am probably going to contact Luda or Melee, because it would be awesome to have my site on 64Digits. They'll be the first people I contact. If not, I am going to look into a couple other sites.The site is going to be called GMFlame. As you can tell from the title, it will be based on Organized Flame Wars. It will have a couple of GMClans like features, such as Points and Judges. Here is how it's gonna work:You register. You get a certain number of points. You challenge someone to a Flame War. They have a week to respond. If they accept it, it will become officialized. The Defendant and Challenger will be notified. Then, the challenger flames the defendant. Within the next 3 days, the defendant must respond with a flame towards the challenger. The Judge will then post, telling who won that round, and by how bad. Depending on how bad it is, the winner will gain a certain amount of points, and the defendant will loose a certain amount. WIthin 3 days, the Challenger must flame the defendant. It goes on like this for 10 rounds. Then, whoever wins, well, wins. For when this site becomes a reality:Remember, it will help to post links to other pages that support your statements.Also, the terms of services will include a section about content you post, nothing too dirty. Also, remember, this will all be for fun. Don't carry things out of the arena. It will be a game.So, what do you think of the idea?EDIT:Okay, I am going to make the following things clear:I do NOT expect this site to get hosted on 64Digits. I said I would contact the staff, because that's what the FAQ said. I would love this site to get hosted on 64D, but that's ultimately not my choice. I said I'd contact Melee or Luda because they are the Mods that I talk to the most.I am not ripping off any site. I have never seen this done before.THIS ONE IS VERY IMPORTANT!!! IF THIS SITE BECOMES A REALITY, I AM NOT GOING TO HAND OUT JUDGE TITLES TO ANYONE WHO ASKS. I HAVE A LIST OF WHO I AM GOING TO ASK. DON'T ASK!
So… you're ripping off 64digits for the slightly intelligent flamewars/debates (as opposed to sheer idiocy at the GMC), and GMClans in one swift stroke? AND expecting us to host you?
Do you just like ripping off sites I'm on the staff of or something?Oh, and by the way: Luda can't give out hosting. Melee can't give out hosting. I can't give out hosting. JakeX can't give out hosting. Only FSX and Canadonian can.Kenons chances-=google
@Flashback:
Okay… how am I ripping off any site at all? It would be somewhere for organized flame wars… I haven't seen that done before. I gave the example for the features, so that people would have a clearer idea of what I was saying. Also, I never said I expected you to host me, I said I was going to ask about it.Ummm…. What the fuck?Also, I said I would talk to them. From what I read on the FAQ, I was just supposed to talk to any staff member.I think that is an excellent idea, and I would love to see it put into action. The only problem that I can think of is the lack of debates [:)] But I'm sure some people will think of something.
Erm… Kaz? That is completely odd…..
A google=1 and one hundred zeros.
Sounds like a good idea. The problem is though that the judge musn't be biased, because if he/she was then one side might get awarded more points just because the judge wants them to win.
that would be cool… and i'm not one of the gigapixel n00bs, i reply on nearly all of your freaking blogs! >:O
@Foslock: Thank you. Basically, it will be more like a flame war than a debate. Like, I think of a debate as something on the lines of Politics or Abortion. On the other hand, I think of a flame war as looking around other sites for n00bish stuff that they have said/done, and stuff like that.
@Melee: Alright, I'll talk to you on MSN about it later.@Marbs: Thanks. I am going to try to find non-biased judges, and of course I am going to set up a few standards, talk to the judges about it, etc.@Pacman: I said almost. You are pretty much the main exception, but there are a few other people that comment on blogs of mine that aren't on the front page.And flashback, can you please explain to me how you interperted what I said as ripping off every other major GM site?
