I decided I'm gonna start putting my blogs on the front page again. I mean, those Gigapixel n00bs are the only ones who comment on my blogs when they aren't on it, so…
I am waiting for V3, like everyone. I really need an ignore user function, so that those Gigapixel people and Boss stop bothering me.I have an idea for a website. I am currently looking into hosting. I am probably going to contact Luda or Melee, because it would be awesome to have my site on 64Digits. They'll be the first people I contact. If not, I am going to look into a couple other sites. The site is going to be called GMFlame. As you can tell from the title, it will be based on Organized Flame Wars. It will have a couple of GMClans like features, such as Points and Judges. Here is how it's gonna work:You register. You get a certain number of points. You challenge someone to a Flame War. They have a week to respond. If they accept it, it will become officialized. The Defendant and Challenger will be notified. Then, the challenger flames the defendant. Within the next 3 days, the defendant must respond with a flame towards the challenger. The Judge will then post, telling who won that round, and by how bad. Depending on how bad it is, the winner will gain a certain amount of points, and the defendant will loose a certain amount. WIthin 3 days, the Challenger must flame the defendant. It goes on like this for 10 rounds. Then, whoever wins, well, wins. For when this site becomes a reality:Remember, it will help to post links to other pages that support your statements. Also, the terms of services will include a section about content you post, nothing too dirty. Also, remember, this will all be for fun. Don't carry things out of the arena. It will be a game. So, what do you think of the idea?<b>EDIT:</b>Okay, I am going to make the following things clear:I do NOT <i>expect</i> this site to get hosted on 64Digits. I said I would contact the staff, because that's what the FAQ said. I would love this site to get hosted on 64D, but that's ultimately not my choice. I said I'd contact Melee or Luda because they are the Mods that I talk to the most.I am not ripping off any site. I have never seen this done before.<b>THIS ONE IS VERY IMPORTANT!!! IF THIS SITE BECOMES A REALITY, I AM <u>NOT</u> GOING TO HAND OUT JUDGE TITLES TO ANYONE WHO ASKS. I HAVE A LIST OF WHO I AM GOING TO ASK. DON'T ASK!</b>
That's WAAAY too complicated for a flamewar.
-ArcSounds like fun.[:S]
@Arc: I don't see why it would be so complicated. Pretty much, it just goes back and forth. I know that flame wars are usually pretty disorganized, so I might alter the rules a little bit, but I'm not sure yet. I'm sorry if it sounds complicated, I'm not the kind of person who can explain things well.
@Blueboy: I hope it will be. :)Pretty cool idea Eternal, and don't mind Flashback, he has a stick up his ass. They should get levels of flamer =). And people would get more points for challenging flamers of higher levels. If you get it working I'd love to be a judge.
I like the idea of the levels.
I've been planning on having it so that you'd get alot of points if you beat someone alot higher than you, but not loose many if they beat you, and stuff like that.If I get it working, I'd be glad to have you as a judge. :)Dabridge, I am only picking respected, well known GM users, who I know for a fact would be unbiased. I'm not just handing out judge titles to anyone. That and the fact taht the site is still in it's planning stage, I hardly know any PHP at all yet.
damnit, stop erasing my post!
It was pointless spam. There is a discussion going on here.
