In Flames - Cloud Connected, hit that shit up yo!
Anyways, sup peeps. So here's what's been going down lately aight?Well I finally started community college, after I was dropped 3 times due to FAFSA issues that THEY/THE SYSTEM fucked up.I'm taking two classes only, yet homework has been plentiful. But I've made time to draw, model, teach, and skate around. Do other shite.Today I decided to enter myself into this little challenge on Cgfeedback.com to honor one of my favorite artists whom I just found out passed away due to his fight with cancer :CThe goal is to try and get as close to his style as possible, the artist is Clemente Suave, look his stuff up, it's the meaning of epic.
Amazing :O
Where'd you learn how to draw?Thanku, and well I didn't learn from anywhere specific. I took art classes nearly every year I was in school, up to the highest ones. But that only taught me basics and little cool tips.
For the most part I taught myself, I've been drawing for like….lemme see, 15-16 years now? (Since I was about 3, that's as early as I remember).Do you use references for the wardrobe and other accessories in your concepts? Whenever I draw concept art, I always have trouble coming up ideas for the small details.
Then it's 2 of us, Mush. :3
Also, look at all that shit he's wearing! D:@Mush: I used reference for the basic things. But most, if not pretty much all of the other details, I drew by just thinking it up, but trying to be accurate to your normal Army gear in a sci-fi kind of way. The key is to just find a few awesome artsists, and make a folder and save some of their stuff to it, and keep going back and forth looking at how they did stuff, you'll keep coming up with new ideas for sure…or maybe my mind is just hyperactive.
@Gift: XD, you should see the way Clem did things, this characters usually wear a ton more stuff than the one I drew. Can you model? That would be pretty epic if you can. :o
Yes, Yes I can model.
