Devil Driver is awesome.

Anyways. So yea…I've been stuck in shit lately. Sorta got a semi-art block out of nowhere. But I'm still trying to move along. So I drew this last night.

I kind of feel like I'm drawing the same things over and over and OVER and it's like I'm not making anymore progress. Like my ideas are just becoming dull.

Or maybe it's the anxiety, depression, and stress that I don't have time to pay attention to.

Creepy little bastards.

Yea. That is all….I need a new skateboard.

Oh and this little progress pic.

OH WAIT, that's not all I almost forgot.

I'm starting up my first round of commissions soon. I'll probably have like 4-6 spots to begin with. If anyone's interested, drop a word or some shit *rubs his head*

Nice drawings as usual.

I don't like the bloom effect on the first one though, especially on the legs.

It would look better to me if there was less of it.

Oh, and the second drawing's link doesn't work for me.

Thanks.

I had this idea that she/he was facing a really bright doorway with white light shining. So that's where the bloom came from.

I hate that sketch anyway though.

And I dunno what's up with the second link. It works for me…Nothing you haven't seen though lol.

Second drawing link doesn't work for me either.

Possibly because it's trying to go to

instead of

Like the drawings though :D

Have you done much pencil drawing by chance?

EDIT: dang these automatic hyperlinks -_-

I still do the occasional traditional sketch when I'm bored and away from my tablet.

Here's two recent ones.

As I think I've said before: You are very talented.

I like the ink drawings. Have you ever considered doing a comic?

JID 13 years, 8 months ago

I think he already has a comic.

Don't you?

Your rigidly detailed sketching style is kick-ass awesome.

Those pencil drawings provide so much too look at. They're exciting and wonderful.

You don't feel like you're improving eh? Every time you put pen to paper/stylus to tablet, you are improving. You could try working on areas like shading; realistic lighting, that is. Shading studies are tremendously fun to do. Sometimes I like to try and draw a perfectly shaded sphere, often taking 3 to 4 hours to do so.

May I suggest an exercise to boost creativity? Still life, but do not draw what you see exactly; embellish it a bit with surreal and fanciful elements. This is effective because it's essentially 'lazy' drawing; you don't have to think too much to produce something pleasing, motivating, and imaginative.

@Zarni: Yes, you have, and thankyou once more lol.

@Mush: I already have a little comic going, just not in any of these styles…it's like Boondocky.

@JID: ^

@SMP: True, thanks for the tips and feedback bro. I've been doing more shading and coloring lately. I don't know why, but I find realism just realy boring…period lol.

I find realism mostly boring, too; but whenever I attempt something fantasy, I usually overshoot and attempt things I've not done before. I end up ruining the piece. This is why I'm trying to focus on realism (perspective, shading, anatomy) before taking it to the fantasy world and twisting it. Your choice though, you'll develop either way, I just find realism more productive, yet more tasking.
