As with bands, I have no one favorite movie, so I'll list them here in no particular order.
Blade Runner - An amazing dystopia, great acting, good plot, all rolled into one. This movie is a gem among sci-fi films.Apocalypse Now - A very strange psychological trip. Includes great music. Probably the only war movie I like. I haven't seen it in a while, sadly.Donnie Darko - I honestly am not sure why this movie holds such appeal with me, but it does. This film is definitely one of my favorites, it's cinematography is amazing, it's acting is amazing, the story is amazing (although not nearly as deep as people seem to think it is). The sequel to this movie comes out next year, I greatly look forward to it.O Brother, Where Art Thou? - This is a really great movie, only depression-era movie I really care for. Of course, that's probably because the story is based on Homer's Odyssey, and takes place with southern rednecks. What could be better?Office Space - Really funny. Enough said.Tommy - The most amazing rock opera ever made. Features great music and great visuals.Across the Universe - The only musical I like, has a lot of good covers of Beatles songs. It takes place in the 1960's, therefore it's awesome. The Beatles Yellow Submarine - The second only musical I like. Good music and really strange locations, pretty funny too, in a dry way.Edward Scissorhands - Tim Burton is the master. This is the visual equivalent of a symphony. This is a great story. Watch it and find out yourself.Dr. Strangelove or How I Learned To Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb - This dark comedy is about the end of the world. Watch it.Pirates of the Caribbean (Trilogy) - Pirates.Star Wars (Classic Trilogy) - The new ones fail. The Empire Strikes Back was the only really good one of the classics. What's Up Tiger Lily? - Woody Allen's masterpiece of a comedically dubbed Japanese film. If more people online knew of this movie, there would be a massive surge in memes as a result of it.I'm sure there are more, if I remember them, I shall update my blog or leave a comment.Wondering which of those movies to watch now, - Attila "Halibutski" the Hun
Pirates and star wars are awesome.
Pirates 3 was the best of the trilogy.I -hated- Across the Universe for many reasons. One is because I like the Beatle's music. Otherwise I've seen most of those and they are all pretty good movies.
Scott: I thought Across the Universe did the Beatles justice in all songs except for With a Little Help From My Friends, that was terrible. I listened to the Beatles before I saw the movie.
Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the war room!
Its not a fight, its a disagreement. And on that note I also didn't like Southland Tales. It was like the Eragon of graphic novel movies…which really sucks since most of the actors did a fine job in it.
I've seen:
Donnie Darko,O Brother, Where Art Thou,The Beatles Yellow Submarine, pirates,Star Wars andEdward ScissorhandsIdiocracy is one you should see, done by same guy who did Office Space.
I LOVE ALL OF YOUR MOVIES!!!! SERIOUSLY THOSE AARE THE BEST! (high five for Donnie Darko!!!! *slaps hand*)
They are making a Donnie Darko sequel?
As amazing as the first one was…Judging by what I just read about the second one (Wikipedia) it could be iffy.In my experience, any movie sequel that casts the same character(s) with different actor(s) fails. Let's hope this isn't true for S. Darko.
