Haliblog - [Optical Destruction Warning]

<div style="overflow:auto;height: 500px">For this blog I wanted a special name. Something very… original. So, naturally, I chose Haliblog. I intend to make this blog the longest blog ever– Okay, maybe not the longest ever, but I want to make this a big one. Note that this blog will not have a 'lol', 'omg' 'stfu', 'noob', 'n00b', or any internet jargon of that sort. Now, on too the blog.

News:

- I have gotton a new pair of pajama-type pants. Official Guinness merchandise :D It has a little sign in the middle that says '1759'. And on either side of that is 'Dublin Ireland'. I'd scan and host a pic if my scanner would work.

- I have a scanner, and have had it for some time now. Unfortunatly, it doesn't have a cord to hook to the computer. The cord is only $18 over at the electronics store, but I have no money, and my mom is sooo cheap.

- Pink Floyd is awesome. I got a new album, its called Echoes, and its a 'best of' album. Its cool because all the songs blend in and out in the Pink Floyd tradition. This album, like The Wall, has the best Pink Floyd song there is. It's called; Another Brick in the Wall. You probably have heard it. Alot of people, when I tell them that, say "No… I don't think so." Then I begin quoting the lyrics.

Thats all it takes, and people are like "Ohhh, yeah, I remember."

- I like quality root-beer. Recently, because of me moving to Cape Cod, I have tried a new type of root-beer called IBC Root-beer, its supposedly a local New England thing. I like it. I have not been able to stop drinking it o.O.

- 64digits has mood swings, I think it got so angry, it tried to commit suicide, resulting in damaging its Mysql database. But now, thanks to some nice doner, 64D had a new DB entirely, along with several other vital organs.

- My new office chair is awesome. My old computer chair was a dining chair with several cusions straped to it, but this one is a proper, inexpensive office chair. Its gray, has a spinny thing, had wheeles, and I can lean back in it without it breaking. Its awesome to slide across the lanolium floor with it. Now all I need is some of those spikey-bottomed plastic mats for my room.

- The lake. A couple weeks ago I swam in a lake for the first time in my life. Mainly because I come from Alaska, and there are not many lakes there that you can swim in. Of course, swimming in the ocean there is even crazier. And believe it or not, people actually surf there.

Ineresting tidbits of info that I have personally expirianced:

- Alaska's Cook Inlet, which was only about an hour or two from where I lived in Alaska, has the third most extreme tides in the world. During the winter, that area freezes over, which doesn't stop the tides, and all the ice, 6 feet deep, crumbles into huge chunks of ice, it looks awesome.

- Alaska's Cook Inlet (again) Has tides so extreme, they literally come in with one wave. Its called the bore tide, here is a link to a pic: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Turnagain-bore.jpg

I have seen that first hand, its quite amazing.

- Moose are extremely common in Alaska. Usually they don't form groups/herds/packs, but one winter they did. Right outside my house, were 16, thats right, 16 Moose. All just browsing on the alder trees.

- The Pacific Halibut (Hippoglosus Stenolepis) is a very common fish in Alaska, in fact, up next to Salmon, it is the number 1 sport-fish there. One time, when I was little, I saw one that wayed around 300 pounds. To people here, in over-fished Cape Cod, 120 lbs is huge. XD

- Sharks urinate though their skin, which makes their meat bad. I have eaten the meat of a Salmon Shark, I never want to again.
