I EAT WAFFLES.Well I am making some very slow progress to my hobo game, and I got bored of working with the mechanics so I decided to work on the graphics a bit since when something looks nice I tend to like working on it a little more. The first thing I worked on was the tiles. I want the first episode of levels to take place in the city and being that the main character is a hobo I plan on making everything look dirty. Because I want this game to feel gamey as well, I decide bricks would be the best type of platforms. However I realized that I suck at colouring bricks, or at least colours to make it dirty, and in fact made my bricks look fruity O-o14523Oh hey, look, 64Digits is full of artistic people :DSo I was wondering, would any of you willing participants be able to help me by either giving hints or messing with the tile set itself? I just would like some suggestions to the colors or any tricks to make it look dirty. I also do plan on placing other objects such as trash cans and the such to fit the setting of the level as well.In other news… Why are we putting so much attention into Alexia the Rabbit? Don't get me wrong, I really really love seeing all this contribution to this game, Daggerhog should be extremely thankful that we aren't yyg (downvoting?) and are giving so much constructive help. But why this game in particular? I mean we all do have a love for platforms, and this game does have nice sprites in particular may have been what attracted us….Idk though, any other ideas?F1ak3r gave an interesting suggestion as to why we are doing this in one of his comments,

I think the game's strongest point right now is that it's made everyone here want it to be better than it is - so much so that they were all inspired to write lengthy reviews. That, or we're all a bunch of furries. =/
Don't complain about games having boring characters and then make a platformer game with spikes. Even if you have an awesome hobo…

Well I was inspired by gmfreak's "Bloody Game," I really enjoyed how the platforming worked in that game, how you could only jump one spike until you got double jump. I also enjoy how powerful it makes the spikes appear.
ohh right i can't believe i forgot about that game, that wasn't even that long ago. yeah i know what you mean, i was terrible with the spikes though so of course i hated them. :P
Can we please make Ferret's top banner the official 64D one? It's way better than what we have at the minute.
