Yup. Now that I have finished mid terms and all my essays I have just started on my halloween game. I'm basically using my legendary hobo engine and tearing down what I don't need and adding onto the engine for this different but simple gameplay. I'm getting pretty far and I intend to submit it into the contest.
17162Look, here is a non animated preview of a character from the game. Just like from my hobo engine this character is made of 4 sprites for multiple moving parts, but I don't have the time to animate them all into one .gif so this is all you are getting atm. This is a rather useless blog so it won't go on the front page, but I mainly am posting this to get everyone out there and making games :DFun fact: On the internet I consider emoticons as punctuationEdit: I'm going to add more pics as I go.
mm i also have moving parts in my game.
unfortunately we only have a few more days until its due lol. i have a feeling the submissions are going to be really simple.. :oIndeed they will be, but I don't really have anything against that.
this is literally all i have finished for so far for my game:
That character looks like the fat shyguy from Paper Mario. Best part of the game was baking a piece of strawberry cake for that pig :)
Rez: I almost felt guilty for procrastinating my game. What happened to TDL, Rez?
Good luck, hope you finish on time. I'm gonna try whip something up one of these afternoons during study breaks or something.
I think we all just need to sit down and make something quickly - sure, it may not be amazing, but like Rez said, it'll be fun to see what everyone comes up with.
