Most commercial games have a windows and linux release (or a version for both). But other games only have a windows release.

I did use C++ (for a month)but I feel more pleasant using GM.

I had linux a couple years back, and it was nothing incredible…After my hdd died, I didn't even miss it. I recently got Ubuntu linux, to so what I'd been missing out on these past several years of development, and…I haven't really missed out on a whole lot.

Like SJF said, I only use it when I have time to play around. It really isn't as much use to me most of the time, except for novelty purposes.

And anyone who gets viruses is usually not worthy of having a computer in the first place. If you use a computer properly, and have some basic protection (knowing how to use the options on your internet browser, spybot, whatever else you want), and stay away from sites that will no-doubt give you viruses (why would you need to go to those sites anyway. [;)]) you'll be fine.

That entire page is slating Window. What drugs are you on to think that it would make me think Windows is better? In fact, I'm more against Windows now than I was before because of your articles. That's just plain lazy - Make up some solid arguments at least.

Actually, you did, you just got Ubuntu. Which is a poor distro that happens to have a nice packaging system used in decent distros like MEPIS.
