Ajax is hot

Website

For those who don't know i'm releasing my site on christmas eve after i took it down for work. The blue and white templete sucked ass so i now have a much nicer one which i decided to do black and red. I also told people i was going to use more ajax on the site which is what i have been doing today. I have done various ajaxy things like for file uploading but probably the best thing i did using ajax was my active users list. Have you noticed how on this site the list doesn't update unless you refresh the page or click a link? Well on my site you can just sit there and stare at it without touching anything and it will update. I sat for about 30mins watching earlier because it's so sexy. The next job is to finish the forum off which i'm adding buttons on the thread creation form to automatically insert bbcode tags and i'll hopefully have that done by the time i release the site.

Arcs banning spree

Yes I just got banned twice in the space of 10 minutes. I was proudly boasting how i hadn't been banned from 64digits for 5 months then this happens :p Well that didn't count because i didn't do nuffin!

hmm can't think of anything else to blog, bye bye.

My ban doesn't count either. FB banned me for almost ruining the forcelogin prank. I haven't even been warned! =D

Weren't you black and red in the beginning?

Yes i was but this is a lot better than the old black and red theme

I liked the white and blue theme, it felt light and fresh, black and red will probably look very heavy and boring, I hope you do a good job in design with those two colors.

Everyone who has seen it so far has preferred the new theme so i hope i did a good job with it.

I wasn't banned. HAHAHAHA!! :D

Hmm, AJAX is sexy err. Maybe I should give her a call and spend the night with her. I have dreamwaver 8. Does that have AJAX?

Dreamweaver is your amazing shortcut to web dev. Very few people are into hard-coding, me being one of them. When it comes to frames and applications, you may want to have something to do it for you. A WYSIWYG application such as Dreamweaver is a fine, fast way to get things done.

Unfortunately, I've got the olllld version, MX, but my school's got CS3. Maybe I'll experiment with it.

The white and blue was kinda nice, actually. But it DID look really disorganized, mostly because of the errors. Second thing is its amazing resemblance to 64Digits. The layout could've been more thought out…

Oh, and frames! Everybody loves frames! =D

The only good thing about Dreamweaver was the FTP and code completion. No real web developer uses a WYSIWYG editor.

Aptana is basically Dreamweaver without the WYSIWYG, which makes it 1337. Its code completion is up to date, it's pretty customizable, and the project support is better thought out, imo. The only thing I miss is autoupload on save, but I'm sure there's a way to do that.
