Savage Defense

I'm still working on Savage Defense. As you can see there's been a major overhaul on the turrets and i'm now using a better fake 3D system and a surface based terrain for the background to make a nice effect. I'm currently adding a new turret that will impact the gameplay alot. It's a healing turret.. You'll be in charge of maintaining your turrets' health. If not, they'll be destroyed by the rampaging beasts. I'm also working on redoing all of the enemy sprites to match the new turret designs. Please disregard the difference in style between the enemies and turrets at the moment. The game is four weeks into development as of now. I'm looking to expand it and take tower defense games to a new level. Sorry, no demo this time. I won't be releasing a second demo for awhile. But if you haven't tried the original demo yet, please do at http://www.yoyogames.com/games/show/98573.

Any comments on the artwork would be nice.

I'm aware of the following:

-There's a depth glitch on the main turret

-Some of the shadows are messed up still

What do you guys think about the turrets themselves?

Very Flash-like…

Good thing? I like the graphic style of flash games.

I liked the old style better…

Everyone told me the old style was too simple and plain.

Not bad, how many layers of images are used on the turrets?

My only issue is that you kind of have a clash of art style with the turrets composed of solid coloring(cartoony) and the background and opponents being more realistic.

The turrets use 10 layers of images for the gun and 10 for the mount. As for the clash, I'm aware. I haven't done the artwork for the enemies yet.
