Should I?

So, I haven't released a game or project in awhile. Wondering if I should, just to see what people think. I have a few projects that I started and worked on for awhile, but was never satisfied enough to give a demo.

-Frontline (3D FPS) Playable

-Redline (Offroad Drifting) Playable

-Xenoban v0.5 (Art program) Not usable

-Dawn of Envy 3 (RTS) Not playable

-Xenopatch (Game Updater) Not usable

-Savage Defense v3.1 (Revised Version) Playable

I think I'm going to release a demo of all the games/programs at once. Savage Defense, Frontline, and Redline will be the easiest to finish. Xenoban and Dawn of Envy will be the most time consuming projects and Xenopatch is an updater that I've been working on for my major projects. I haven't introduced it to 64digits so I'll give a brief description in this blog.

If you don't care about an automatic game updater for your games/program…. disregard the text below.

Xenopatch does what all updaters do, downloads the newest files or .exe of a game. I'm also adding a system that checks what files are currently on the computer and determines whether something is missing or outdated. The system will download individual files rather than redownload everything. This is useful for games that use alot of external resources and has alot of updates that may only consist of a few new files. And in a case where a file may be damaged or deleted by accident, the system will pick this up and download what you need. At the moment, it's very glitchy and sounds too promising, but I'm working on making it very user friendly and efficient. It's not something I'm just making to throw out there for an example to build my reputation like alot of people do. I'm making it for my own benefit as well. So you can count on it being a quality system when it's done.

So, the title. Should I? I've been procrastinating and I'm tired of leaving these unfinished projects laying around. Maybe I should work on them some more and share them with people. I hate telling people I make games and when they ask to see them, I only have 1 or 2 finished ones.

Blog over. :D

my rule lately is to just go with whatever can be completed, and therefore put out of the way, soonest.

if you need music i can hook you up. :)

Hey, releasing demos for all of these would be great. I do envy you on the ability to actually work on 6 games at the same time :P

Updater sounds nice. I shouldn't talk, I've dozens of unfinished projects.
