Two Classic Titles, Beaten Again

I've been working through my game library and recently completed two games in my collection (again), but still worthwhile. The first of these two is Chrono Trigger.

In my opinions, RPG games of today haven't reached the pinnacle this game achieved. The depth of characters and storyline are both deeply moving and understandable. The cliche' 1-Dimensional character isn't present in here, albeit for a few of the boss characters and villains, but even the greater majority of them are all story-driven and creatively spectacular.

I love this game and the RPG genre in general. I'm a big fan of Final Fantasy I-IV, and even the 3D ones, but Chrono Trigger was definitely my favorite RPG of all time.

The other game that I recently beat was The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This game was a bit of an adventure (definitely not the best in the series; that would be a Link to the Past [:)])

I love this game, hands down. Its expansive and was the right way to do an addition to a series: expanding the character depth, bringing deeper story, and bringing back a franchise worthy villain.

That being said, I'm curious:

Did anyone else find the damned Forest Temple as creepy as I do? I hate that place, so much. Its so damned…creepy. Dark, dank, echoes in the distance, poes…*shudders*

I guess I never read if there are rules about images in blogs, so if I ever break any rules regarding image size or blog length, I apologize; I ramble on endlessly.. :)

You should give Majora's Mask a try. I find it disappointing that I'm the only living person who has ever played it.
Trust me, you are not the only one. To me, Majora's Mask is the best LoZ game of all time.

Nah, I've played Majora's Mask, but I really disliked how all my progress was lost whenever I ran low on time and had to bluepill. Not one of my favorite Zelda games.

The depth to the game, though, was pretty awesome.

It's definitely my second favorite and the whole "time limit" thing is a crock of shit. I forget it's even there.

Majora's Mask was definitely a good game, but not one of the better Zelda titles; currently, I'm working on the Oracle of Seasons/Ages Gameboy titles and inching my way through Super Bomberman 2 for the SNES. I recently hooked up my Genesis and am going to be working on getting some games for it, just not sure what ones to get yet.

Play the Song of Slow Time or whatever the hell it's called and suddenly the difficulty goes down.

Also on Bomberman, I have to say Bomberman 64: The Second Attack was probably the best one, in story and everything. Mostly story. Though it's pretty cliche. I think.

Ages and Seasons are also underrated. As well as any Bomberman game on the N64.

I couldn't really get into Ages and Seasons. Then again, I only tried once. The fact that Koume and Kotake (sp?) appeared in there made me want to play though.

Oh fuck yeah, Bomberman 64: The Second Attack was the best one by far. Only thing is it's a difficult game. And Majora's Mask is an epic game. I fucking loved it.

Anyway, Chrono Trigger was fun. I got it on the DS and enjoyed it immensely. But still… I don't like FF style turn-based games. I like 100% turn based. No timer bullshit. Only reason I loved Chrono Trigger was because of the lack of random battles EVERY TWO STEPS. That part of FF7 pissed me off so much I just quit it and never finished it. Fucking overrated as fuck. Argh.
