Ultimate Extreme Action PONG's engine is running smoothly; I'm currently working on some particle systems to spruce up the graphic quality of a near graphic-devoid title. I have quite a few paddle skins in mind (Zombie, 64D, Tech, Chilled, Fiery, Ninja, etc.) and have already started making those, as well as some for the ball.
I started playing Alexia the Rabbit, and have to say I like it overall. I've submitted two bits of artwork to Daggerhog, and I was curious about the communities thoughts. My only concern is that Daggerhog himself or the community may think I'm patronizing or demeaning the game maker by suggesting these ideas, and I hope I don't offend anyone, especially not Daggerhog (I enjoy AtR quite a bit!).For your critiques: A Map, and an Enemy Modification.I apologize to anyone if this is not the intention of this site or its users; I'm merely giving suggestions out to Dagger and wanted the community's opinion as well :)Here are my attempts at modifications: I'm not much of a spriter, so I apologize for its limited look. I have three different Gem sizes, because I didn't know what size would look best [=P]EDIT: Made some spelling corrections [=P]
I really like that enemy mod. Good job.
Might wanna post a link to this blog on the game's page.
I automatically read UESP instead of UEAP.
Modified my most recent post with a link to this blog; Daggerhog and myself are already discussing some design aspects privately :)
Privately? Make it public! We're all friends here.
Updated with a graphic for the Spitfire enemy [=)] Sorry, I'm not much of a spriter [=P]
That graphic looks tons better than the original.
My brother took a spin on the redesign as well.
Here it is:In fact most of the enemies were designed by him. The simpler looking enemies were done by me. As you can see he's better at spriting than I am. :PIt's an improvement but not perfect.
I haven't gotten around to adding legs to the Spitfire enemy, since i knew you'd be working on one as well [=)] I've added my attempt at a Gem, I'll add it to the main blog in a moment.
Your Spitfire closer resembles your game's style, in my opinion.
