R.I.P. PSN

Posted by JID on April 27, 2011, 12:43 p.m.

Sony is in knee-high shit right now.

Someone haxx their interwebz and stole PSN user's account info, credit card information, and addresses.

This will reportedly cost Sony over $24 Billion.

Goodbye PSN. I love you.

Without you, I shall never know how to love again.

It really is just a horribly handled ridiculously large issue.

Sorry to say it, but Sony kind of brought this upon themselves, they are simply too cocky of a company, they kind of got what they deserved.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Sony, PS3 has some amazing exclusives, I just hate how cocky they are and how they try play their competitors.

Also, I'm not supporting the hackers, they are fags for doing this shit.

I feel bad for PS3 users right about now.

I am glad I never put my credit card info or my address on PSN.

It still hasn't been confirmed that credit information was taken. Also how exactly are they cocky? And where are you getting these numbers?

Some of the ways they are too cocky is that they bash every other console constantly, just recently they said Nintendo is only good for making games to babysit kids. If it weren't for Nintendo, the gaming industry would be dead right now.

Even their ads are filled with cockiness with, "It Only Does Everything", Kevin Butler also makes too many jokes about other consoles in public events.

They've already confirmed that user information has been taken.

Well, that's what happens when you base your entire security system around security by obscurity.

What gets me is no one knows who did it still…

User information, credit is still just a possibility.

You think that Sony is the only one that does that? Their slogan "It only does everything" is derived from the bashing they got from consumers and companies with their usual banter of "It only does <this and that>".

I'm pretty angry right now, I don't like receiving emails that my information has been grabbed from an external intrusion. And fuck Geohot and Anon for doing us all this great favor by cracking security and hacking ps3's and causing all kinds of hooplah over at Sony and getting this ball rolling.

No. But I think PS3 is the console that does it the most.

I thought it's already known who has done this?

What's a shame is that I'd really be surprised if PSN manages to survive all of this.
