Okay, what now?

Since I'm finished with my V4D game, I don't know what I should do next.

Surprisingly, I don't want to work on TWE again. At least for a while.

(That shitty TDS that I've been making for the past 2178435694 years)

I've been thinking about creating an entirely new game, or continue working on Fighter Valentine and making it work with Alert Games' AGMAPI.

I was planning on doing something similiar to Dark Souls, where players could join your world and either try to help you, or try to kill you. I already have some decent ideas on how that would work, I think it'd be pretty cool, but I don't know if anyone would even play it.

Is there any type of game that you would like to see made? I'm up for suggestions.

I just want to work on something as fun to make as Fighter Valentine again. It was the first time I've ever made a game that didn't take itself seriously whatsoever, and I'm proud of the results, though I think I could've done better on some parts.

Also, here's some concept art that I started when the V4D comp first begun, but I never finished:

Originally, the kittens in the game were going to be neutral, until you attacked them. Then they would transform into gigantic cat heads and their eyes would shoot laser beams at you.

True story. luls

The guy on the right was originally supposed to be the villian of the game, but he eventually turned out to become Dr. Obesity.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I had originally planned for the player to be able to buy sword in the game, each with their own damage. But due to time constrictions, I had replaced that with explosive cupcakes.

heh, nice CSS, i like the green.

and yeah i know how you feel, i get this way a lot when i'm between projects.

all my steam for game making kinda went away with Minecraft (i was really into making randomly-generated games at the time -_-), but i have a few engines laying around i wish i could finish, if you wanna collaborate on something.

the only way i'd play a GM game these days if it were a fully submersive world, i hate when a good game gets old to me. that's why randomized epic RPGs, like Diablo, are my main inspiration when game making. world is getting old? reset it with the same character and explore a new world :)

I noticed that when I collab on projects, they tend to not turn out how I'd like. There's been so many people who I was supposed to collab with on TWE alone, one of them is actually in the Active Users feed right now, lol. And that has gotten me nowhere.

Turns out I work better on my own. At least for now.

I can see your point, but I'm pretty sure that you know that there is no such thing as an infinitely replayable game. Sure, it may seem that way when you first play it, but you're bound to get bored with it eventually.

I would like to make a randomized game one day.

What I want to do right now, is to try making something that I haven't tried to make before, or at least try to make something creative.

@Taizen

I'm not too sure that I'd enjoy making one

"something creative" sounds rather ambiguous

As in I'm-not-sure-what-to-suggest-for-that ambiguous. -_o

You're not being very creative with helping me do something creative, colseed.

>:(

hmm

well do you remember Colmov?

I was thinking of making a multiplayer version of that where players would try to masquerade among the robot populace while engaging in revolutionary or counter-revolutionary activities. Sounds a bit like that Dark-Souls-like idea up there.

but I dunno if that would be the kind of creative you're looking for D:

I actually had no idea what you were talking about, so I had to search it up, and it turns out you were talking about your game that you posted on YYG, lol

I enjoyed making Fighter Valentine, because it was so easy to make, when compared to TWE or Frozen. Mostly because I had done wise decisions that saved tons of time. So I want to do something as fun as it again.

I keep thinking that I should do some kind of Multiplayer co-op game, but I just don't know what it'll be about yet.

Which reminds me, would you be willing to test out a MP alpha I made for TWE a while back?

If it works, this will help me greatly with future projects.

Creative, eh?

I am remembering something that came up a while ago… I'll see if I can dig it up.

EDIT: http://videogamena.me/

I got "Sensual Hair Salon Raider"

Those are too random to make a good game out of. :p
