Just six more days of school until Christmas break. I love this time of year. Except for the music. I simply do not understand how people can stand Christmas music. Ack. In any case, my brother and my sister-in-law are coming home from college in New Mexico for a month. Unlike some people I actually really like my family, and I haven't seen them in like four-ish months. So, yeah. Should be fun. Of course, until then life will sort of suck, with tests and such. Ah well.
In any case, I recently learned that Nintendo has created a sort of re-issue of the NES. As I was never fortunate enough to own one I was thinking of getting it; only problem is I'm afraid they might have changed stuff, which I would not like. Has anyone gotten one of these/played it/heard about it? If so I'd like to know.As for Mekanos, it's coming along well, more or less. I haven't worked on it as much as I would have liked, but it's beginning to resemble a real game now; it has (I believe) 11 rooms, five varieties of enemy, two bosses, a whole freaking lot of code, a new upgrade/stat system and HUD, which I think I already mentioned but is still pretty cool if I do say so myself, and a partridge in a pear tree. I had wanted to make a small side-game to release around Christmas, but that's looking less and less likely as I've been sort of sucked dry in terms of ideas. And, so that this will look a little less like a wall of text, here is the obligatory unrevealing screenshot:BTW, there are other environments, I'm just keeping them under wraps for now. You'll see them come demo time.So long, all.
Sweet.
Nice. :) I played this at GMG.
cool
Darn, I guess I've been misled. I looked it up on the Nintendo site and there's no mention of such a thing.
That sucks. :( I want my Super Nintendo back.I have a NES. And 3 SNESs. And 3 GCNs. and…
