Polyman asked about it. Now, go make me popular, guys! Tag up the place and whatnot.Anyway, my life in general has changed a heck of a lot lately. I'm in my first semester at college, at Baylor University in Waco, TX, studying Computer Science. The classes are kind of tough compared to high school, but I'm handling it just fine and I'm learning a lot. Unfortunately, I can't apply my new programming skills to Game Maker, because I have a Vista computer now, and thus my registered GM6 doesn't work on it. And my last games I was working on were making fairly crucial use of registered functions. So in short, I need to either bite the bullet and get a new reg code (I can't upgrade without the credit card number it was bought with, and someone got it for me as a gift), OR learn AS3 and Flixel and start making money instead. I just might do the latter. Most of my creative efforts have been focused on music lately, though. Speaking of which, another album is well underway; this time it won't take three years, and it's going to be awesome this time.Oh, and since you last knew me I've gotten into a bunch of cool electronica. Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin, Autechre, Squarepusher, Four Tet, and the like. For some reason I don't feel like listening to music with words a whole lot, lately… though I got an Of Montreal album recently that has impressed me a lot (Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer?). Is anyone else into any of this stuff? And I've been playing old DOS games by the dozen, on my computer. This is my life.Currently Reading: Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card.Currently Listening To: The Campfire Headphase by Boards of Canada.Currently Playing: Chex Quest and Ultima VII.Currently Looking Forward To: Thanksgiving food.Anyway, that's all. I hope you're having a good day.
I connected you to the 64digits group. Because you care.
Another couple of things: Make the tracks available for free download, and get The Flashbulb, he's a lot like Aphex Twin. I recommend Flexing Habitual.
Oh. The reason I didn't make it free to download is that I figured the sound quality is 24 kbps while the filesize is 128 kbps, so people might prefer to download it elsewhere. But okay. And thanks.
@hel - don't worry, it will be. If only a little. :PI love Chex Quest. :)
Yay Autrechre :P
That's strange. I taught you were already in college jabberwock. No problem though. I just need to know where I can find some nice DOS games. The original Prince of Persia brings back memories.
http://www.abandonia.com/
That one's my favorite. It has all of the best old games that are legitimately free.
