I Wish I Were Your Derivative

Hey guys. I just finished a new release of lo-fi/8-bit/whatever music and I thought a few of you might like it.

An EP about love, math, and the subjunctive mood.

You can download it for free here, or if you'd like to pay a few dollars in exchange for a couple of bonus tracks, higher bit rates, the satisfaction of performing an act of kindness, etc., you should go here instead:

I loved them. They are pretty good, excellent job.

They remind me of an old Iron man game I played on the Gameboy color. :D

Will download later.

Just wanted to say I loved Scientific Satellite and Space Hymns, also that song "Stars Come Out" on the soundtrack for Digital: A Love Story - is that track from another album I haven't heard of, or was it a standalone?

Firstly, I'd like to say I love the album cover, looks great :)

I listened to the first 2 songs and am liking it so far, I'm kind of busy right now (Cyclone Yasi), but I will try to listen to the rest later, and maybe buy the album if I like it.

@F1ak3r - that song is on an album called October November Devember. http://www.64digits.com/users/index.php?userid=Jabberwock&cmd=comments&id=267503

@JID - thanks. :D I'm sure I've never played it.

@SMP - I'm glad you like the cover art; I'm not much of a pixel artist so I'm glad it turned out okay.

Cool but kinda short :)

Great, thanks.

I gave Derivative a listen and yeah, what Cesque said. Also, if xkcd were an electronica album… it would be better because it wouldn't have all those stupid words clogging up every strip with pretentious self-satisfaction and… I forgot where I was going with this.

Sounds great! Very catchy stuff, and the whole thing had a nice flow to it. Loved the title track and Polyhedral Funk. Slowfade really captured me, though I wish it was longer. Good to see you coming around still.

As a general statement, I think all the songs could do with an extra bridge and refrain.

It's funny, you're the first person who has told me that even though it is essentially my own biggest problem with a lot of the music I make - too structurally simple and short in attention span. It's hard for me to write stuff that doesn't essentially just build on a single idea, and that for not very long even.

to be fair, although i got the same feeling as Juju you've developed a pretty original trick of having the songs flow into one another, or at least i never caught that on your past work. and i kinda like how you just tease us with just enough music =P
