I'll write a longer blog later, but I'll share some details of my current project before I forget (forget to share it here, that is).
First, the title screen:Then, here's a video showing some combat:It only shows the new enemies, the old ones can be seen in this older gif of which original copy is in another computer, so here's a link to the tweet containing the gif: https://twitter.com/jani_m_n/status/1318603995666128896 (it would be cool if we could embed tweets)And here's another video showing some menu stuff, NPCs and treasure chests:Also, follow on Game Jolt to get the latest updates: https://gamejolt.com/games/a-graveyard-for-dreams/544951 (I'll upload the game to Itch.io once the game gets completed, but I host a devlog on Game Jolt). Or follow my on Twitter, whatever. Also, this thing is being written in Html5 & Javascript. No libraries used, just Html5 canvas and WebAudio for stuff. I could have used WebGL to get some per-pixel drawing operations, but why bother. I get better compatibility this way.I'll release the source code once this gets finished. It should be out on December or early 2021.More info later, sure.
This is a comment.
Super nice looking
I'm making a game with canvas myself, one by one overcoming the challenges. Might port to HTML5 canvas for exactly the reasons you say but not sure
I've always wanted a dummy object
very very nice. I like your animations and the graphics are super nostalgic for the SNES (I have no other reference points lol)
