Rant
For a while, I've been going through a number of projects, only finishing a couple of the smallest ones. My main project, VouSei Advent (story-centered flying shooter), is on hold because of a broken scanner. I next attempted One as a side project in the meantime, but I vastly underestimated how difficult it is to make a Poker-deck card game engine. I do have a playable bare-bones demo, but I ran out of fuel, considering that it reached a stage that only involves programming - all design work was done for that game.As if the failure of my big 12-member team project, VouSei Tactics, wasn't bad enough (that took a year and a half), the only games I released in the past couple of months are Go - Drops of Life (which no one knows or is willing to learn how to play) and Tolerance (a tiny 4-hour "time trial" project). So far, I have 7 projects on my "to do" list. I must be crazy for coming up with the 8th one. Like Tolerance, this game is going to be short and sweet, but I'll spend at least a month on it. It's an RTS, after all.Oh well, anyway, I hereby present you…New ProjectImmunocideThis is a real-time-strategy game set in the future. The future of the human body, that is. A future where bio-terrorism have caused bacteria, virus and parasites to mutate and exist in symbosis - in a slimy, pathogenic alliance. A future where the only way to combat that is to infuse the human body with colonies of nanomachines. Nanomachines that were created by humans, by those that make mistakes. Mistakes that cause these nanomachines to also turn on the human body, trying to consume and overtake it. A future where the humble, human blood cells struggle against these new, unsurmountable threats with their archaic tools of evolution. v.0.52 v.0.50 v.0.50A demo is already submitted. Expect it to appear in a week.
