Metroid 3D

Oh yes, this entry, today's entry,w is all about Metroid 3D. It's gonna be big. You heard. It's coming back, with a vengence. It will own your puny games in their sleep.

So I took fifteen minutes of my time and threw together a model of an iris. That opens and closes by rotating the pieces. It looks quite impressive in my opinion.

Also, all lighting was fixed. It is beautiful. The sky has moving clouds. The only thing there is so far not to like about it is the carnivorous door. Which I am fixing between words. *fixed*

Also to like, or hate, depending on who you are, I added health. Although so far there are no enemies to take much away at a time, the fire the ship emits will hurt you. But the thing to like or hate is that I encrypted that value in a unique way. I may tell those who PM after the release. Though the encryption is ever re-encryptingg, changing each time with the variable itself, there is always a way. For that there is the genius cryptomaniac GearGOD, who I am no longer afraid to challenge. When he breaks the encryption, what little I have but into play which was still efficient to illude the thoughts of GSCentral, the hacking community that is still kinda getting back on it's feet, this is neevr enough to stop him. So in store I have three last steps of encryption to add to try to divert them all. Wish me luck.

Other new aspects of the game will be the morphball camera I am attempting to correct now, and the door system of course requires a lot of attention, considering having all those objects out in one room–the best and most efficient way of pulling that off–will kill your processor/graphics card. So I am working on both of those now, trying to get it as nice as possible. Again wish me luck.

But basically, all of you take heed. It's coming. And with 64Digits' new act of desperation to replace kevboh, we'll have newbies approving games left and right. So expect it within a matter of days, enemies or no enemies.

I may take part in that, BTW. I've often wondered what it's like to be a game mod here… But on the other hand I'd like to earn it, like some day when they're looking for somebody and they're like, "look @ tha kid, he mst noh hav a lief hes alwais on…. hier him@2!@!`!!@#@!!#@~!@~~!@@@@@@@@@@@ 22"

End.

I would suggest you don't call the final thing Metroid 3D. That could scare people away.

JoshDreamland 17 years, 9 months ago

Yep. I don't plan to. You have a good name for it? Metroid Prime 1 1/2. :P

ok, cool…I guess. Is this supposed to be like metroid? You know, that game by Nintendo?

Metroid rules with level design.I forbid you to use its name in vain.Make sure the game is VERY free roaming.

Metroid Prime kicks ass along with the NES version.

JoshDreamland 17 years, 9 months ago

Or Metroid Prime GM… :P

@serprex

Don't sweat it. The roaming could not be more free. You can go anywhere and back, so long as you are willing to walk. Just like any Metroid game.

And is it possible to get the most basic of items to totally exploit the game to beat it super fast and with only like 10%complete?

JoshDreamland 17 years, 9 months ago

Items?

lol Haven't made them yet.

I don't know yet, "Super Fast" is not Metroid style, and glitches are messy. I'll make you a deal. I will not be completely thorough in making it sequence break proof. If you can exploit a sequence break without causing major glitching, it's yours.

YAY!!!

Metroid can be exploited,by super skilled people.

MetroidPrime was finished in 1:30.

Espion had a cool trick, since I was using place_empty.By shooting right below yourself and pressing up like crazy, you could FLY!!!Should I keep this? You only have 48 to 64 shots for the whole level. Also,I fixed my scope issue in plat mode by just scrapping offsets and using 2 variables I named mx and my.
