TGMG has found a way to protect games from the decompiler for the time being.
The original text was as follows:Here is a tool that will protect and compress your games! It works very well and I highly suggest you use it if you are going to release a game:http://www.scottlu.com/Content/CExe.htmlIf you turn this topic into talking about GM "flaws" I will report your post and hopfully the moderators will warn/ban you without deleteing this topic. To be honest I don't suggest replying at all unless you say thanks wink1.gif But trust me it does work very well.To GMC staff: This topic is providing a tool to protect and compress exe's. I really think that gmc users should know about THIS tool without knowing anything else.Again you will probably get warned if you mention anything other than this tool in this topic!
The entire topic can be found here:http://gmc.yoyogames.com/index.php?showtopic=355103&st=0&p=2532147entry2532147That'll do till ENIGMA's ready, methinks. Just use it for now.
Use gm6 vista method instead of the exe compressor, it was an idea that wasn't that successful :(
But gm6 vista method does work :)Yeah gm6 vista works great, good thing someone came up with that. I was so frustrated I couldn't find a working decompiler for CExe packed files that I wrote my own in GM haha. unCExe.rar
Maybe someone finds it useful. I doubt it though.LOL, I'm glad I stuck to gm6.
Why?
PROTIP: The decompiler also works with GM6.
PROTIP: The decompiler does not recognize GM6 + vista converter.
That doesn't help GM7 users, however.Just putting Goatse pics in the sprites is easier.
(that is assuming, perhaps wrongly, that the decompiler can decompile sprites - I haven't used the bloody thing)It can decompile everything but some of the settings and the icon and maybe loading bar
but it doesnt put any resources in folders so lots of objects=confusing
