So I spent this year taking general classes and the first 2 computer science classes at my university. It sucked. But recently my teacher mentioned that there was a web design related major, called Communication Technology. So I’m hopefully gonna be switching to that because Computer Science sucks completely (haha, probably a stupid thing to say to a programming site).
This semester has been interesting, the classes themselves are stupid and I only have maybe 1 good teacher but I did get to have 4 day weekends so that kind of made up for it. Except that because my teachers seemed to have no idea what they were doing/assigning my grades aren’t very good at all… oh well I know next year will be much better if I do switch majors. Oh yeah, the best thing about Communication Technology is that I wont have to take Calculus 1-3 and I wont have to take 2 physics classes, which makes sense cause I wont be using that crap as a web designer. Did I mention that I hate advanced math.Anyway, schools been taking up a lot of my time recently but I’ve still been working on OrbScape a bit. Mostly with the javascript. I never really bothered to learn much javascript but I seem to slowly be getting better at it, just by looking up whatever I really need to use. No works been done on Zombcheez since the last blog, but I haven’t stopped thinking about how I’m gonna make it.Theres 2 things annoying me about 64d right now, first of all (this may depend on your browser) but whenever I try to type a comment or blog it pops up a js stack overflow error for every key press. I think it’s the auto text box resizing script causing it, but that’s just a guess. The other is that the comments themselves load slowly, and sometimes not at all. Those 2 things really need to get fixed.
There is no error for me using IE7 (yes im kinda ashamed to admit i use IE)
I get it in IE8
Web Design is computer science, it just had more to do with art and media. I'm taking it as well for my bachelors degree.
Heh, what were you doing in computer science if you hated math anyways.
the "not-loading comments" thing can be really annoying. I had to refresh a page three times once, just to read the comments.
Up with Computer Science! I'm studying Computer Science and Engineering at bachelor degree and I cannot say it sucks at all. Even though some classes seem a bit useless at the moment, I know that the following years I'll be having classes based on matter discussed now.
I personally can't wait to start my university comp sci program.
@josea it was the best option I knew of at the time
@kaz yeah but as far as classes go computer science is 4 years of torture for me while communication technology should be tolerable =pWell yeah thats one reason I'm switching out of computer science =p
