We've had games that connected to your 64d account before, but this time I'm taking some of the code I created for GameGame and making an actual in-game log in and doing something a bit more complicated than just giving out a game badge.
Since the last blog I've taken the OPV2 source and copied it over and removed a lot of the stuff I don't need. I've also prepared a lot of the stuff I need for the actual game design so development is going quick. I'm hoping to finish a demo within a couple weeks, but that depends on how much work I have to do for my classes.
Anyway, random things to mention. I got Metroid: Other M recently and it's pretty good. Possibly my favorite metroid game ever and probably the first one I will actually finish =p I'm also hoping to get Super Scribblenauts in a week or so, it looks completely awesome and should meet the hype that people were expecting with the first game.
For some reason, I thought Other M was on the 3DS. Oops.
Imma real happy for you and Imma let you finish butMetroid Prime was the best Metroid game of all time! :<Metroid Prime 2 is my favorite of the primes, but each of them had little annoying things that kept me from finishing them. Other M has little annoying things too, all games do, but they aren't making me quit.
so metroid other m was pretty good? xplay gave it a bad review because they thought it was sexist :O
anyway since this is from an actual person who played it and wasn't as biased as that reviewer was I think I'm going to try and pick it up :DSexist? A video game? Nooooo…..
Well, it also seems to have extremely bland level design full of hallways, and the music is absolutely horrible.
Well metroid isn't exactly one of my favorite game series, so if you love metroid games your opinion might not match mine =p
The very beginning has some long cut scenes which had me worried, but once I got past that the amount and length of cut scenes has dropped by a lot.As for game reviews, if I'm not sure about a game I usually go over to metacritic and look at some of the critic reviews. It's nice to have them all in one place =pXplay is horrible, somethimes they are crazy biased, sometimes I wonder if they played the game at all.
Even if they aren't biased against the system or series they might be biased against the game based on their expectations of what a metroid game "should be"
It's really hard to find reviews that are just based on how fun the actual game is.Also, did they say what they thought was sexist? I'm interested in what it could possibly be =p
