So I've been making some good progress on Pokemon Twilight this week, despite not having too much time to work on it. I wrote a new wild pokemon script that lets me easily choose % chances for pokemon to appear, plus I started revamping the wild pokemon appearances to be more balanced.
I also started work on adding abilities to the game, as well as a new feature called skills which will replace HMs. Just today, I added in eggs and at this point they seem to work pretty well. I probably wont be adding breeding before the next demo though.Though it's been a bit controversial with old fans, my goal with PT is to actually distance it slightly more from existing pokemon games. My overall goal is to make a fun game, not to make a pokemon clone. Plus I want to avoid getting a cease and desist =p I never imagined how much people "loved" HMs until I tried to make them a bit nicer =pI also had the excitement this week of having somebody completely steal the PT website (copied all the HTML and some of the sentences). But what's annoying is that I can't figure out who it is or any way to contact them, after hours of searching I only managed to find one lead which was somebody using the same logo font <_< Looking at it now, they just updated the site again, http://pkmnamber.thecomicseries.com/ The funny thing is, they suck so much at stealing it. It took them days just to get that far and it still looks crappy compared to http://pycosites.com/pt I made my entire site faster than that. I only know it exists because they originally had my ads on it, so it showed up as a referal site in my ad statistics. So hopefully they post something that identifies them on a forum of some kind so I can actually do something.Outside of PT, I've spent most of this week in a condo with crappy tvs and internet slower than dial-up. Or with my grandparents/in a car, so my internet access has been extremely limited over spring break. Luckily I'm getting home later today =DI ended up buying a few cheap games at some flea markets too:Pilotwings (snes)Wario's Woods (snes)Sonic the Hedgehog (genesis)Stealth (nes)GP Rider (gamegear)In actual gaming, I've got 7 badges in Pokemon Black now and I am about to reach 98 attack in RuneScape. Also, something interesting from the upcoming minecraft 1.4:
I don't even play minecraft, but I couldn't help but yell "What?! That's frickin' tight'."
(Verbatim.)Wolf armies!
Looks cool. Killing baddies in Minecraft is easy enough as it is, so hopefully this is for demonstration purposes and you can only have one tamed wolf at a time though. I love minecraft, but with a few more enemies and, (I know it's a sandbox game), some more goals to achieve, only optional stuff for fun of course, It would make it a lot more fun IMO. There is a suggestion thread on the Minecraft forums about having 12 artifacts spread across the world that you can find, I think that would be cool. Also, they should have dragons and bosses and shit guarding the treasure in the dungeons, that would be win.
You'll be able to have more than one wolf as far as I know, but they wont be so common and I would imagine that the more you have the more time you waste getting them unstuck from places.
