CheeseMod, Pyco and Humble Indie Bundle

If you didn't hear, there is yet another humble indie bundle where poor people can pay as little as 1 cent for quality games =p http://www.humblebundle.com/ Theres less than 2 days until the current deal ends, so don't miss out =p

So, I finished my cheesemod in depth blog recently and have even added a couple new features to it. I've decided to set up a site for CheeseMod at http://pycosites.com/cheesemod/ Right now it's just a copy of the blog, but I plan on making it a little more in depth and organized, as well as having a "latest changes" section. So if you play on the 64d server regularly, it might make sense to bookmark that site =p

As for Pyco, I have hosting for my sites paid until the end of september. For years now I've been hoping to update to a more powerful server, so this will be my next chance. I recently found out that my host (bluehost) is now offering a "pro" hosting thing that would cost $20 a month and give me a more powerful server to work with. It's not a real solution, but $20 a month is a lot more manageable than the $100+ a month that a dedicated server would require. So if possible I might be upgrading to pro then as a stepping point while moving towards a dedicated server.

But obviously I need money to do that, so I'm going to finally focus on increasing my ad profits like I've always said I would =p If I could reach $1 a day before september I would be more than fine and I think that's a reasonable goal based on my current 10-25 cents a day =D

More like quality game. Still, grabbing a steam-enabalable copy of Trine for whatever I feel like paying is pretty cool.

I love the Humble Bundle. Also, how do I enable Trine for steam? All I did was get it on my games list.

On your humble indie page they have a section for getting a steam code. Then in steam you go to redeem code in the menu and enter it.

I bought the bundle within the first few hours of it starting. I happened to refresh the page a few seconds after indiegames posted the announcement >_<

I haven't downloaded or played any of them yet, but didn't know I could get them on Steam. Totally doing that now.

Also, I paid $20 for the bundle, $5 less than my usual input, because the games seemed slightly less appealing, and 2 of them are pretty much the same.

Also, apparently if you pay less than 30 cents without using instant payment they don't actually get any of the money, because Paypal require around 30 cents with each purchase.

Paypal charges 2.2%+.30 cents for donations, or 1.8%+.30 if you get a huge amount of donations like they do.

I spent 50 cents because I only had $1 in my paypal and don't want to be completely broke. I don't feel bad though cause I would have never bought the games otherwise and might not ever get around to playing them =p

That's right, I remember reading something about it on the reports of World of Goo's PWYW, but I wasn't exactly sure.

I have my PayPal set up so that if I purchase something and have insufficient funds in my account, it just automatically withdraws from my linked bank account. This is a good fall-back when I forget to top up my PayPal account, but usually takes longer. I feel the same way :P. Over the new year Steam had a ton of sales and specials, so I went crazy buying stuff. Those games, on top of my 3 Humble Indie Bundles, freeware titles, and roms; I've only played about 20% of them >_<

My problem is that my bank account money is savings, not meant for game purchases =p

:O

Why don't you just use a spending account instead? Assuming you have a spending account.

I don't really have one =p
