Finally.

If you haven't seen already, Varia is up on 64D. I took my sweet time doing other work before deciding to release it, because I won't have any time to work on it anymore. It's already complete as it is; I can't possibly bring myself to work on it again. While I haven’t gotten the results from the competition yet, I’m hoping for a good spot.

So now it’s back to having a very limited amount of time because of school and all, though I might have another long project to work on soon. Three months for Varia within a deadline kicked my ass, and it really hurt. I somehow got it done during that period with the content it has right now, so I’m pretty relieved. Now only to submit to the other communities.

Half of my purpose in making Varia was me trying to make a long game, as some of you saw how short Kairuga was. The other half was the competition and making an abstract game. I've never gotten far with real sprites, I'm into abstract stuff mostly.

So, that's about it. Hopefully the new project I'm attempting won't be a failure.

I didn't use anything but Microsoft paint and a few functions in GM. I was experimenting and found a nice way to do a sort of vector style.

Yes, I also agree that the graphics in Varia are spectacular. Also since I am a huge user of RTS's, I hope yours will be very enjoyable.
