So my friend from another school IMs me about this program he found for 3d animation. I watched a few videos and was amazed at what it could do, which is why it's being used in professional games and movies such as 300.
But one movie impressed me the most. A movie about rendering 1.8 billion polygons on a quad core, 8gb RAM computer. It was using all 4 processors to render the image, which took a very long time.Link to videoParty
Yesterday I went to my friends birthday party. The entire time we played Guitar Hero 2 and We <3 Katamari. I got there at around 3:30, and played games until 12. Then I was the only one awake so I played Guitar Hero for 3 more hours. Then I passed out in a recliner =/Awesome game though, now I really want it since I was starting to do good on medium difficulty. We woke up at about 10, played more Guitar Hero and ping pong, then watched part of a movie. I had to get home though so I left at 12:30.Guitare Hero awesomenessSite
Not really part of the site actually, but a service. I made a download counter service because I remember Rob wanted his downloads counted and didn't want to wait 2 weeks for his game to go through 64D. It's pretty much done, so if anyone is interested I'll post the link. All you need is the file's url, and it starts counting them. You can also customize the look of the download page with HTML if you don't want to use the default one.Thats pretty much it, I'm gonna go work on some shit.
ORLY?
How do you live?
That thing is awesome. I wish I were that good at 3D modeling.
Yeah, me too. It only costs $6500 for full version so if you wanna get good…
I used to only have 256. I have 768 now. I want like 1.5 gigs.
I have 1gb now. It's pretty awesome compared to my old 128mb desktop.
I have 1gb, but want to upgrade to 2gb.
My computer's old. 6 years. 768mb RAM. Nowadays you can get a pretty good computer (2GB RAM, 768mb graphics card, Intel Core 2 Duo…) for about £1440. Not too bad.
I have 480 mb.
