The Platformed Story & Walkthrough (Part 1)

Yeah. I'm nearing hit 10k, so I decided to give the community a gift. No, it's not a demo of Platformed.

It's the storyline of platformed. Drawn out to it's full extensity. Not down to the quotes. But down to a summary of the chapters, along with mini-bosses, bosses, and how to defeat them in upcoming demos of Platformed. I'll post them in a 7 part blog series

Chapter 1: The Beginning

It all starts out with a cutscene about Argonia's invasion of Winshar, only dealing with the fact that it was invaded 15 years ago, and that Frellia might be invaded as well. All of these thoughs run through Spike, one of the main characters in the story. Spike is going to take his initiation for the Frellian Warriors later this afternoon, which is a resistance group against Argonia. He decides to train with his lifelong pal known as Blaster, who is another main character. Blaster has been a part of the Frellian Warriors for 3 years, and has escalated up many ranks. Blaster decides to go over the basics by fighting with Spike. In enters the actual Gameplay. After going over the basics, Blaster tells spike to get back to town. Blaster runs ahead. Spike follows closely behind. A short ways off the training route, A rock slide occurs, leaving Spike on one side and Blaster on the other. Blaster can take a safe route back to town, but Spike is stuck going through the forbidden cave on the other side of the where they trained. Spike goes there, encountering many minor enemies along the way, mostly fiends that have been popping up ever since Winshar fell before the army of Argonia. When Spike gets into the cave and ventures about halfways through it, he finds out exactly why the cave is forbidden. There is a weapons master who lives there, who seeks to find the perfect foe. He has killed many in the wait, and now you have to hold your own against him.

MINI-BOSS FIGHT: Weapons Master of The Forbidden Cave

HP: 250

Stradegy: In this Battle, you learn a key action, The Reaction Command. The boss blocks every shot you throw at him if you attack when he has his staff with him. The key is to disarm him by triggering the reaction command "Circle Counter". This appears right when he's swinging his staff down from above. After you Circle Counter him, he'll drop his staff. At that moment, there'll be a reaction command that will pop up called "Bladed Fury". You can either react to it or just use a combo. Bladed Fury does decent damage, but you can inflict more damage with an aerial combo. After a combo or Bladed fury, He'll get his staff back. Repeat this process 5 times if you use Bladed Fury or 4 times with the aerial combo. On defeat, you'll gain a new combo, as well as automatically exit the cave.

Spike runs out of the cave right next to the entrance to the city Frell. Upon entering the city, someone is freaking out. Apparantly, a master thief is in Frell, and according to rumors, wants to rob the place dry. Spike, being the hero, decides to defeat this master thief, known as Sparl (Main character BTW). Spike runs through Frell and runs into Sparl in the Central District. Sparl is weariing a wierd headband with a green jewel on it. A cutscene triggers here. Be prepared for the first boss fight.

BOSS: Sparl

HP:500

Stradegy: It's Spike VS Sparl in a one on one match. Where you are, Sparl is invincible. Runright to the docks. Sparl will follow. Around the Water, sparl is weak. (He's an Earth Elemental, He's moderately weak against Water and very weak against wind.) from there, Jump off the docks(Yes, I know, crazy), and a Reaction Command called "Power Dive". MAKE SURE TO TRIGGER THIS. It'll start a chain reaction of Reaction Commands that will be able to kill Sparl in one combo. From there, Spike should dive down into the water and swim directly below the dock. Sparl will be confused, and will walk up towards the edge and attempt to search for it. A Reaction command will be available called "Spring up". Tigger it when Sparl is directly above you. He will take decent damage and be startled. From there, the Reaction Bladed fury will be open. This time, you want to trigger it. When Spiraling up, waher will spiral along with spike causing extra damage. At the top of the bladed fury spin, a new reacton command is available, "Beatdown". This causes massive damage, plus in this case will slam water into him as well. What's even better is if you're on the dock platform still, you ca crash him down through the platform, instantly defeating him. If you did not crash him down through the dock, you can still easily beat him by using the combo you learned from the Weapon Master of the Cave.

After that long and gruesome battle, It seems like Sparl is finished for. Guess again. He's back. And he's angry. He ends up pushing Spike into a corned against a building, and it looks like you're going to be dead. Then a flurry of arrows fly at Sparl, piercing him. Sparl, in his rage, turns around. The view turns to Blaster, who is currently wielding a bow. Part 2 of Boss battle One Commences.

*Blaster fights with mostly ranged attacks. If you're in a melee range, Blaster will strike the enemy with his bow, but it won't do much damage. Try to stay out of melee range with Blaster. Also, yiouo can switch different arrow types with him. For this match, I'll describe which arrow choice is best depending on your actions*

BOSS: Sparl (Enraged)

HP: 1000

Stradegy: There are two ways of defeating Sparl in this mode. One way is to consistantly dodge while firing normal arrows at him. These arrows are the only ones of the two that you have right now that will hurt Sparl directly.

THe other way is much quicker, but involves using his reflection with your exploding arrows to time it just right to destroy a bridge above him. Back a few areas, you'll find a bridge going over the area. Run back to it and stay on it's left side. When Sparl goes under the bridge, shoot an arrow. It will stop him momentarily. Now aim an explosive arrow at him, try to time it where thr fuse is about 3/4th of the way gone when it hits Sparl. He'll block it, deflect it upwards, and the arrow will explode, causing the bridge to come down with it.

If you kill him the first way, there'll be a cutscene displaying the exploding bridge scene where blaster fires the arrow. The green gem on the headband breaks, adnd sparl is left in a daze wondering where he is. He then sees Blaster and Spike and then immediately identifies them as two of the elemental heroes of Fire and Water. Spike and blaster don't know what he's talking about, so he tells them that if they wish to save Frellia, they must travel to the Islands of Elements; Spike to Icarcio, Blaster to Fiorci. Spike wishes to remain in town, but in a turn for the worse, the mayor sees the bridge and claims the three responsible. They are either to pay for damages or get out of town. Since none of them have any real savings, they are forced to leave town. Since they have nowhere else to go, they decide to travel to these Islands. Before they head out, Sparl tells them they should meet in the town of Helacial, a border town between what was Winshar and Frellia.

END CHAPTER.

NEXT CHAPTER: Frozen Days In Icarcio

I love the ironic concept of writing a walkthrough for things that don't even EXIST yet.
It's a sign. =)
