Yea, been stalking it ever since actual footage of it has been released. I never really liked forge besides meddling around with dropping all the vehicles and guns and stuff. I'm more looking forward to the SP and maybe MP.
I still prefer the way Halo CE and Halo 2 MP worked, Halo 3 was alright. Reach killed the MP in Halo for me.
Halo 2 had the best multiplayer, and especially the best maps. Halo was great too, but my friends didn't get into it until Halo 2 had been out for a while. Halo 3 brought some frustrating changes, but it was still great. Reach is less frustrating, perhaps mostly because of the way they handled networking. I still play Reach from time to time.
I doubt I'll get much into Halo 4, other than completing the campaign on Heroic and playing a bunch of multiplayer matchmaking on my own. Just like I've done with Reach.
I had seen one of the gameplay vids, looks good. To me it looks like their kind of going in a more 'Metroid Prime' direction, plus I heard the game is going to be more puzzle oriented, which I think would be a nice switch up for Halo!
Puzzle oriented? Hmm. That's weird. Either way, I just can't wait to beat Halo 4 in Legendary like all the others before it. Halo 1 was probably the hardest to beat in legendary, I think. As long as Halo 4 doesn't have any levels like "The Library" or "Cortana" , It won't be that bad.
The only mission I remember from any Halo game is the one in the first game where you first come into contact with the flood. It was genuinely scary, every other time you see flood, in the entirety of the series, it's like combating tedium incarnate.
I don't know why, but over the years Halo CE went from being incredibly easy to beat on Legendary, to incredibly hard. I remember just cruising through it on legendary, so that I could see the secret ending. I try doing that a few years afterwards, and Silent Cartographer is raping me.
Halo 1 and Halo 2 are the only Halo games that were truely incredible to me. I played Halo 2 like two years ago on my 360, and I was still impressed at how it was a game from last gen, yet it was still very epic in scale.
Halo 3, I never really got into, I loved the ending to the campaign, but never really liked anything about the multiplayer besides forge and custom games. I almost got into it, but this was like a month before Reach came out.I was actually very excited for Halo Reach, but when I finally got it, I got extremely bored with it after like 2 months.
Got me some Halo 4 on reservation. Really can't wait. It better look damned good too.
Have you seen the gameplay yet? I think it looks frikkin awesome. Forge is much improved as well.

LOL. I always thought The Library was a bug.
It was so damn repetitive. The only mission I remember from any Halo game is the one in the first game where you first come into contact with the flood. It was genuinely scary, every other time you see flood, in the entirety of the series, it's like combating tedium incarnate.
