Wasn't the last Halo hailed as the final Halo, or something?
Or was that just the last Halo that bungie was working on? There was a lot of press around it being the last halo, and I always thought it was because there would be no more halo games…
This is either THE final Halo game, or 343 is pushing for a full-blown Halo revival. Which they could actually do, cause it's not Bungie that's making them. Also the last game developed by Bungie was Reach, unless that's what you were referring to in the first place.
But yea, I haven't been this hyped on a Halo game since Halo 3.

According to a quick Wikipedia read up on Halo 4, they're planning on a whole 'nother 3 game story arc from this game. Honestly, I would be okay if they just gave Halo a rest for a while then decided to wait for the next gen XBox and everyone would be like "OMG GUYZ! NEW HALO AFTER ALL THIS TIME! LOOK AT THOSE GRAFIX, OMGZ OMGZ OMGZ!" But nowone ever listens to me ideas…fortunately
The multiplayer is said to be more competitive, which may be fun. I liked reach, but the lack of competitivity lost half the players from halo 3.
Halo 2 was fun, but halo 3 brought more to the matchmaking which I really liked and had countless hours of fun with. Halo reach's maps were only okay half the time, but the campaign sucked, whereas halo 1's campaign was amazing. So hopefully 4 will take everything and put it into one, because I love the series but each game has its strong points.

I would have loved it if Bungie would have waited, and developed Halo2 on the 360 instead. But oh well.
I think they're doing that too.

I wanna see the lobbies from Halo CE and Halo2 make a comeback.
