Is anyone interested in anything like this? 1.2 looks like it's going to be an incredibly huge update to the game, and I think it'd be awesome if we had a marathon like we do with Minecraft.

New characters, fresh world. What do you guys think?

My first time against WoF was pretty rough. I remember building a huge platform that always felt too small, using a phaseblade for the Hungry, and then shooting the fuck out of it with hellfire arrows. I tried to melee that thing for so long before getting smart and just making a bow.

The boss that really gave me a rough time was the Twins, even taking the pussy route with the cross, star cloak, grappling hook, and meteorite.

I've never found any of the bosses or enemies in the game to be very tough, but that is most likely due to my tendency to over-prepare. When I start out, I usually skip all tiers up until demonite or meteorite to save resources, and then get a Minishark and a decent flail to handle most situations and kill bosses.

The first time I fought the twins was with Kamira, and it was ok. They're quite a bit harder solo, but only if you're taking the melee or ranged route. Casting spells with a Mana Flower puts you miles ahead (it's a bit OP, actually). Also, Skeletron Prime is supposed to be the 'final' boss, but was much easier than the twins.

For The Twins it's best to just go in with full adamantite, all accessories warding, and a Megashark with about 1700 rounds of crystal ammo. Wipe out the green eye first, then just get the red one to its second phase and block yourself in with some dirt and take it out from there. Did use a heart statue and a few buffs with some greater potions, but the rest of the time was just spamming the megashark.

Beating the Destroyer first is a good idea, and it's suuuuuuuper easy. (The first boss I went for once I got into hardmode was Skeletron Prime. Bad idea)
