Is anyone interested in anything like this? 1.2 looks like it's going to be an incredibly huge update to the game, and I think it'd be awesome if we had a marathon like we do with Minecraft.

New characters, fresh world. What do you guys think?

It just sounds like it'd be a lot more annoying than fun. Besides, even with us all working together it takes a while to get to hardmode and such.

Yeah, dudes smashing each other's hearts in on video games is only fun every so often.

Co-Op is where the fun is.

Not to mention massive learning curve for the new player.

I see a HUGE red flag in the air with the branding: "UNFAIR"

Hmm. I guess you're right. If the main goal is to get to the end game, working together is probably the best option.

So quick question. I thought Starbound was created by the same people who created Terraria due to the extreme similarity. I take it this isn't so?

Also, I vote for a PvE run the first time around, with later PvP events for those who are interested. However, I don't believe other people would keep you from progressing, as we 64Digits users are fairly mellow and not that competitive, and being the civil people we are, I'm pretty sure we know when to stop killing someone.

Nah, as I know it, Terarria just has a very similar look some some similar mechanics, but it's made by a different team. The frontman for Terraria is a dude named Redigit something, and the one for Starbound is Tiy irc. But I mean, Tiy worked with Redigit on Terraria anyway, so that'd explain the similarities.
