Who here likes Dark Souls? I beat the game recently and I'd like to know who here has also played and/or beat it.
Anyway, Yeah. I bought the game for Xbox a few months ago, and I finally beat it about a month ago.
I also recently started a new game on PC. (Yeah, I bought it twice. lol) Technically I bought it 3 times since The first copy I gave to my little brother, and I had to buy a second Xbox one.
Then it went on sale on steam, and I had to have it for PC.
So, about the new game. I'm playing this new character a bit less leveled than my other one. As in, I'm not leveling him at all.
I'm trying to beat the game with a level 1 character. This is possible. Plenty of people have done it, and it is pretty fun to add a whole new level of difficulty to the game. If I recall correctly, Ferret is/ was doing the same thing, since he plays the game as well.
I've currently defeated:
The Taurus Demon
The Gargoyles
The Moonlight Butterfly
The Capra Demon
The Gaping Dragon
Quelaag
The Iron Golem
I've been using Reinforced Clubs for all of this, and a mix of the Pyromancer, Leather, and Hollow Warrior armors as well.
This is pretty fun. But man, dodging is important when you have so little armor and defense.
I'm currently trying to fight Ornstein and Smough. They are much, much harder than they were the first time. And they were VERY hard the first time.

It grows on you once you see it splayed at every possible corner in the whole game.
But yea, I really, really really, REALLY REALLY hated the game for the first 6 hours. It just felt like a massive chore, and I -knew- what I was getting myself into. But it was repetitive, and lived for it. It was relentlessly fucked up, and knew it was. And after a while of getting my ass kicked, it got to me.So yea I love it, can be a bit unforgiving and more brutal than it's worth at times.One of my best moments was when I got invaded for the first time by this obviously super badass player. He bowed, and I bowed, and we dueled. I got a few good hits on him with my Drake sword, and dodged and blocked for a while. He even let me heal when I was severely wounded, but eventually he got the best of me.Bowed after my death. 'Twas a good time.Another time I got invaded by some headstrong guy who came swinging out of nowhere. Killed him easily because he had no strategy. 'Twas another good time. Lots of good times in this game, and plenty of fucked up ones.Right now I'm stuck at New Londo because of the super cheap ghosts.Ooh. So you're not finished with it yet? I got stuck while I was adventuring down in the Great Hollow, but I got cursed by those damn frogs with no way to remove it. So I fought my way all the way across all those poison lakes, back up through Blighttown, through the sewer area, and up Undead Burg to one of the store keepers.There is a way to remove it. There's a guy in the gargoyle bell tower who sells something that cures curse.
