Hopefully.
Also, if people build awesome stuff during the beta that the devs like, it's possible you're build could be in the final game for other people to find! With your permission, of course.
I'm so excited! Are you?You can pre-order Starbound here, and get access to the beta when it comes out.

Starbound beta release is looking to be around dec 4th. Assuming arrangements go through with steam.

The beta contains tiers 1 - 3 for the most part, then tier X, which contains the rest of the armors/craftables/weapons, but all smooshed together in one unbalanced tier for messing around in.The game isn't as complete as I'd like it to be for beta, but we're setting up a system where we can literally update it daily. So it should be a wild ride regardless. Also, creations you share during beta may have a chance to make it into the final game as places other players can find.
Ze Trailer!

It may or may not. Depends on stuff I guess.By the way, I see that my Universe folder still contains the files from the original alpha sectors I started in. I'm going to try travel to them and see if my base (And thus my stuff) is still there.EDIT: Nope. Also, no wipe for this update.Oh, and also, the edit/delete/report links are nearly invisible with this CSS LAR.I knew the wipe was coming but you know, losing progress still sucks in a way.
They're having a bit of trouble with balance.. I'm probably gonna wait a while until everything is resolved. (Balance-wise)
And yeah, sorry. I keep telling myself I'll fix the color thing, but I keep not doing it. :(Another update is out that fixes the birds and a few other things :P
The dev-team is pretty quick. Now the only thing I wish they'd do is use something like XDelta for patching, instead of making us download the entire 600mb EXE.Yeah, it is quite a bother having to wait 1-2 hours if you want to play. I actually kinda liked birds being so OP… Well at least we can finally (indirectly) use wood for fuel again.
Heh, the birds where challenging.
