I have been working a while on the Online version of Special Cube Force. I probably started a year ago, but I'm never only working on one thing at once, so that's the problem of the long time of development.
Anyway, for the last 2 weeks I worked much on it, update system build in, online engine works fine, all bugs solved, and so on…All of the things above are the reason that I made a devlog for the game:http://scfdev.blogspot.com/For those who haven't seen SCF, see the screens below. A public beta is planned for Friday the 29th, but I want to know who's interested, so I know at what times the server has to be online. The beta includes:- MMO Platform thingy with cubes- World of currently 6000 px (300 cubes)- Some random jump exercises (I actually hate those, but I just added them :P)- Chat function, added recently, so it isn't too advanced- DoorsThe public beta is meant to show the game to you, to get comments/ideas/whatever. And to test if the Online engine is as stable as I presumed.
I tried SCF once. I remember after seeing the screenshots. I really liked it and it's a great, great game.
Thanks :)
note that the MMO version does not have the goal "Reach the other side of the world" anymore.I can has see it?
On Friday… no, that's the day of Adrenaline's release!NOES!Aye, Adrenaline's caused quite a fuss, too. =/
Ah, no need to worry :P Seems that I have a bit of delay…
Public Beta starts somewhere on Sunday I ThinkGave it a review ;)
Thanks :)
Anyway, I've to do much on the Online version. The engine works for now, but I still need to add things like score-pickups or something.I have some good ideas though, and in the end it's not that hard to make.Just heard that my friend is away in the weekend, and he was going to host the game ('cause I'm on WiFi, that gives much lag). So delayed until Next week I assume.
