Have you ever walked through the plazas of Venice only to be heckled by bards singing about your deeds that you may not want the world to know, such as murder, arson, and jaywalking? Annoyed at them? Then this game is for you!
So in my school's game dev club we were doing a thing called a one-button game, which is a game played using only one button. So I, being a fan of punching things, decided to make a game about press spacebar to punch things. Then my friend suggested that I make this into Ezio punching bards, since we're both Assassin's Creed fans. And this happened. It's not quite done yet; It was meant to be made in an hour so the graphics are pretty primitive, and I only have elaborated on Ezio's sprite right now. When I have less midterms/things due I'll make a start screen and a Venice background and actual bard sprites and a reset button when you die. You die when you fail to punch your 4th bard, by the way: Ezio only dealt with 3 bards at a time, any more would probably drive him nuts, and honestly, since he never deals with more than 3 at a time anyway 4 is non-canon and thus would cause desynchronization anyway. So yeah. Press space to punch bards. The graphics will be better in time, I swear. Link's in the screenshot. It's pretty derpy right now.Ezio's Bard Punching Adventures[Game]

All I remember about my romp through Venice was that I literally just walked everywhere throwing money at people. :P
Throw money is great.
I wish that was an option in AC1. Those drunkards are the worst and beggars weren't much better, either. So annoying. After playing AC2, I couldn't get back into 1 (Tried playing it again for the fun of it). Felt a lot slower than 2.
But yeah, those beggars and drunkards… I remember wishing I could just let loose with my blades and not be de-synched…. Ubisoft are heartless. :PSometimes I just stab them anyway. At least in 1 you just lose a bit of health that you'll recover right back. Just need to…not get in trouble with guards too.
Oh, I love a good guard chase. If I'm not backed into a corner, anyway. Heheh.
On that note, your game could shape up to be pretty good. Needs to feel a lot more… punchy, though :PHeh, thanks.
Yeah, I'll be smoothing out the collision detection and stuff and have actual animations for the bards. Just need less midterms happening right now. :c
